Great beach view room on 8th floor. Just wonderful, sounds of the beach day and night. Room was nice. Double check for fridge, check out iron with housekeeping, no microwave. Property lobby, pool, bar is amazing and beautiful. Will certainly visit again.

Second time staying here and had a great experience.

This is a very nice location. While not all inclusive, you get direct access to the beach and are within walking distance from everything. Elizabeth, the lady at the towel desk was very kind. The staff were very attentive. The view from the 3rd floor was great. I got a lot of good pictures of the sunset.

It was a very pleasant stay. The grounds and room were very clean, and the staff was courteous and helpful. We definitely consider going back to the hotel. Its location is great - waterfront with walking distance to many restaurants and entertainment. The restaurant's food is also good.

People was very friendly

Check in lady was not too welcoming, but the property was well maintained, well landscaped, with nice view of ocean & pier from our room & good location close to bars & restaurants. Close to malecon & nice sunsets.

Found the Tropicana to my liking , room was clean and exactly what i booked. View from room was great. Staff were friendly, restaurant for breakfast was fine. Hotel pools and beach were wonderful. Perfect stay for the price. Would stay again

Ive been vacationing for several years at the Tropicana. I really enjoy the amenities offered at the Hotel. They have 2 pools, restaurant, plenty of clean bathrooms while your downstairs and no need to go to your room, a big lobby area where you can feel the breeze blowing through. I will always stay here.

Property was older than expected with little amenities

The hotel is a bit understaffed and there are Lots of stairs and not the quietest place. The beach was great probably one of the nicest beaches in PV. Close to the Malecon and tons of good restaurants all around.

One thing I would recommend if your first time stay. When you arrive is explain the property rules. Example the last day I went to bring one suitcase to the car so i wouldn’t have as much to do when I checked out at 12 noon. They had employee follow me to the car thinking i was leaving. Like as if would leave without checking out it was way before the noon time. I felt little intimidated. Just because they saw with a suitcase . And it’s not an all adult hotel with kids playing and splashing in the pool with no restrictions not to jump or dive in the pool when others are trying to relax and not get hurt while trying to enjoy your stay. They should have patents rules to have their kids behave and not scream and under control at all times ! But all and all I liked the property I’ve been going to PV for over 20 years and it was my first time staying there at Hotel Tropicana.

Old town, smaller hotel, less crowd.
