I reserved two prepaid rooms with Expedia. I had an email confirmation and confirmation number. But the hotel did not have the reservation somehow and we discovered at about 10:30 pm that we had no rooms. The hotel said they were sold out and had no rooms left and we had no reservation. Later, toward midnight, after we’d been on long holds with Expedia customer service (who claimed the hotel wasn’t answering their phone) someone from the hotel called back to say they could find us a room, but by this point we had called someone we knew late at night to beg to spend the night with them, which we did.
