The Staff at this resort are amazing. Very helpful and friendly and accomadating. They speak really good english. Service was amazing

Family hotel, located across from the beach, good breakfast. Property grounds are ok, rather small pool, rooms are clean, but slightly outdated. Very family oriented.

A very good choice for a holiday in Rethymno. I visited this hotel for business and it was very conveniently located very close to the center but in a quite area with other hotels and amenities next to it. The beach is right across the street from the hotel. Towels and sun beds are free of charge. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Hotel staff is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The manager at the breakfast buffet is amazing! Overall a great hotel and highly recommended.

The hotel gives the impression it is a spa enviroment in a lovely beach setting. Fact it is crammed between another big hotel and a mini mart on a very busy 2 lane road with the beach on the other side. We knew about the road, but its description did not include being the main road with huge and non stop tour buses. The road is also lined with mini marts and budget resturants and bars and hotels. The staff at Plaza "spa" is pleasant and helpful and one of its best assets. The 1 bedroom apartment we booked based on the wed photos, was sparce with no sofa only beds to sit on. Nothing like the photos. We stayed in that room because it overlooked the ocean and the road, better than being in the back with nothing to look at but the many beach towels and underwear hanging over the balconies. This could have been Naples. The room was quiet only with the balcony door closed. So much for ocean breezes. I booked with hotel because the Grecotel has a rep for luxury properties. This one is NOT. After we returned I discovered it was also a timeshare. Very disappointing. I should have done more research, but I took the Hotel.com and Grecotel websites at face value. I did not "buy" the additional cost breakfast option for this hotel and the comformation clearly stated Breakfast not included. Turns out is was free with the room, but we didn't know it until we tried to pay for coffee at the last of our stay. Fortunately, this hotel was the only booking mistake I made in a 4 week trip.

Subject: Request for Compensation – Stay at Grecotel Plaza Beach House Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing regarding our recent stay at the Grecotel Plaza Beach House in Rethymnon, from 6-11 august, during which we booked a “Petit Loft Maisonette” for 5 nights. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of the standards expected from an establishment of your reputation. Below is a summary of the main issues we encountered: • First room: extremely noisy, located on a very busy street. It was impossible to sleep before 2 a.m., and we were woken up at 8:30 a.m. by honking buses — partly due to a trash bin left in the road by hotel staff. • Room change request: I was initially told that no other rooms were available. However, after insisting, an alternative was suddenly found — proving that this claim was false. • Second room: in unacceptable condition: • View of an abandoned building and a parking lot • Suspicious stains resembling vomit on and in front of the door. Only the floor was cleaned after I requested it; the door remained dirty. • Severely damaged mattress, with visible mold and burn marks (photos available). This raises serious concerns about whether there had been a recent attempt to treat a bedbug infestation. • Broken patio door in the children’s room, which did not lock and opened directly onto the parking lot — a significant safety risk. • Meeting with the manager: I was told again that there were absolutely no other rooms available for 2 more nights.

Lækkert hotel og fantastisk beliggenhed. Dog mangler de en pool fra unge mellem 6-18 år, da de unge ikke må benytte den lækre pool. Den pool de kan benytte er en pool, hvor de små børn på ca 4 -6 år bader og der er skrig og skrål. Det varmet kæmpe minus for vores 3 teenager børn.

Insgesamt eine schöne und ruhige Hotelanlage. Die Kinder konnten die Anlage alleine erkunden. Tolles Frühstücks-Buffet mit regionalen Produkten und super Service.

Das Hotel liegt ca 40 min zu Fuß von der Stadt entfernt, aber direkt über die Straße ist der sehr gepflegte Sandstrand. Das Hotel besticht durch eine sehr schöne Ausstattung, Pools und extrem freundliches Personal. Ebenfalls ist das Frühstück außergewöhnlich und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Das Zimmer war über 2 Stockwerke mit kleinem Gästebad und einfachen Betten unten. Oben wunderschönes Bad und komfortables Doppelbett. Zimmer war bei Erstbezug nicht ganz perfekt geputzt( haare unter Decke, große Kaffeflecken rund um Mikrowelle..), aber die Zimmerreinigung während des Aufenthaltes top.

Fantastisk fint hotell med flott beliggenhet. Elsket at stranden var rett utfor døren. Eneste minuset var trafikkert vei veldig nærme. Topp betjening. Deilig frukost

Foto del sito non completamente realistiche (sia per la location sia per le stanze). Il personale di sala era molto cordiale e gentile. Colazione ottima. Purtroppo l’albergo è separato dalla spiaggia da una via trafficata. Le piscine sono piccole e non valide per nuotarci. La nostra camera (per 4 persone), aveva doccia con tenda doccia da cui fuoriusciva l’acqua direttamente sul pavimento, che quindi era sempre bagnato con anche tappetini tutti bagnati. Luci al neon in ambedue le camere da letto. Nessuna luce per leggere nella seconda camera con letto a castello. Parcheggio quasi impossibile per strada e l’albergo non ha un parcheggio. Note positive: personale di sala gentilissimo. Spiaggia con ombrelloni e teli a disposizione, con servizio drinks e pasti portati direttamente all’ombrellone da personale attento e veloce.

Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Tipsade om fina ställen att åka till. Bra frukost! Lugn och skön atmosfär. Ett plus att solstolar ingår även på stranden. Det enda negativa var att det var en bit till Gamla stan.

Tte es exelant....gentillesse.....souriants....professionnels... Extraordinaire.....propreté....sécurité..... Établissement En croyable très simpa.......extra calme.... Bien placée .. personnelle chaleureux....attachant..... Inoubliable..... ....etc...etc..... Semplement ça il feau voir et faire l'expérience. Ça donne envie de revenir tout le temps

We received an upgrade upon arrival, sea view and sea sounds, Very nice and polite staff, in front of a nice beach. Rhetymnon center 3km, but nice walk next to the sea The rooms need an update, however for the budget very good. Breakfast was good.
