A beautiful older , unique Inn. You can image the grand times, food, drinks, lawn games and style of dress that would have been worn during that period. A place one must stay!

The Pines is a grande old hotel/resort and we are pleased to see the significant reinvestment to upgrade and modernize the property. These steps are positioning the resort for a bright and long-term future. WE wish it tremendous success and hope to return again some day from far away.

Loved the location and the view. The pool was closed when we were there. The breakfast was great, with lots of options!

The suite we booked was clearly formerly 2 rooms with the joining wall removed. While the room was satisfactory for its size, The bathroom was barely big enough for one person. Additionally, the bathroom had no ventilation and smelled like damp towels, even after housekeeping had cleaned while we were out.

The carpet in our room was very dirty and made the room smell bad. The bathroom was extremely small and the shower head and faucet were both broken. The toilet did not flush properly. This is an older hotel and can’t be expected to live up to today’s standards but this is basic maintenance. The pool was not open which was a disappointment. Breakfast was very good and the staff were excellent.

Beautiful old stone building. Magnificent in its time I’m sure. Lobby, bar and restaurant areas are beautiful. Room feels old …bed and linens need to be rethought. Restaurant food was just ok…for instance veggies were boiled.

Very clean and breakfast was awesome. Staff was friendly. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Hopefully next year we can go back

Delious buffet breakfast. Property is tired and has slipped from previous years. Resort bedrooms require upgrades and needs attention to detail. Check room 234....bathroom grouting, bathroom mirror has white paint spattered around the edges ,TV is in a poor position and plastic glasses for a "4" star resort!!!! Bedroom bedcover and pillowcases not pressed. The dining room table cloth and napkins are not pressed....why is that as it looks terrible.

Overall it was a good spot. Staff working in the dining room/restaurant and kitchen were fantastic, food was excellent. Live entertainment great. The bed was very comfortable which is a huge plus for me. Unfortunately the pool was empty and closed during our stay, and it appeared that it had not been operational for quite some time. The grounds also are in need of maintenance, they are not as they appear in promotional photos.

Pool was closed. No mini fridge in room. Stairs to get into the building, to get to our room, to get to the restaurant. Not the easiest for seniors. Breakfast was buffet style with good choices. The place has been beautiful in its time but draperies in the grand lounge/sunroom have linings that are falling apart. Very comfortable king size bed. Very good and friendly staff.

Elegant, grand, hotel from days gone by. Gardens are beautiful, view is amazing, food is excellent. Breakfast comes with the room excellent as well.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom cabin and it was great. Spacious and clean. The complimentary breakfast was good too.

We were very unhappy to be unable to sleep because of the singer who was so loud that it seemed as if he was right outside our door. The water controls for the shower were not reliable and if a neighboring room flushed the toilet or used the sink our shower turned scalding. Very difficult to maintain a safe temperature.

Property needs a lot of work

Excellent hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant was nice, food was good and not overpriced. Room was very nice. Outer buildings need some work but all in all good value for your money. An iconic hotel. Highly recommend.
