As usual we found The Vine up to it's usual high standard. The staff are undoubtedly the stars. We have lost count of how many times we have stayed here. It is ideally situated close to the centre of Funchal. One new feature we found was the Sunday evening buffet with entertainment by the Madeira Folklore group. Excellent value, with an incredible hot and cold buffet, drinks included. Highly recommended, and we will certainly be booking our place on our next visit. Also worth a mention is the spa treatment, incredible massages. Thanks once again to the incredible staff for looking after us so well.

The location, roof top pool/bar and beautiful room/amenities were perfect for our short stay in Funchal. Easy private parking was also a plus as we had a car to explore the island.

The hotel was great and really well situated. The two pools on the roof were also great and never busy. All the staff especially the reception and over breakfast Antonio in particular were amazing. The breakfasts were the best we’ve had for a long time. Really enjoyed our stay and if we visit Madeira again without hesitation I would pick The Vine

Our fifth annual stay at The Vine. We love the breakfast and all the staff are very friendly. Great location.

We stayed at The Vine to celebrate our 30th wedding Anniversary. We arrived hours before check-in. Not only were we checked in early, we received a room upgrade. When we entered the room, we were greeted with a welcome note and a bottle of champagne , We were able to shower and relax after traveling overnight and were totally refreshed when we began to explore Funchal! Disaster struck during the 4th day of our stay; my wife broke her ankle requiring surgery and a short stay in a local hospital. This is where The Vine went above and beyond to take care of me while I was alone and both of us when my wife was released from the hospital. Our stay was extended indefinitely until we could provide a departure date (since I had no idea when she would be released), Team members made special effort to find an accessible shower bench for her use when she was able to return. The front desk offered and provided a wheel chair enabling us to salvage what we could of our plans. When we finally were able to make our departure plans, The Vine handled everything - we got the assistance needed to get us safely to airport handicap services and our departure was a breeze. The early breakfast was delicious as it was during every day of our stay. Long story short, Team Vine accommodated us in countless ways. The location, amenities and most of all, Vine team members, shine above and beyond expectations. This was the very best hotel experience we have ever experienced.

Excellent location, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms showing their age. Smart switches and TV service were finicky and unreliable. No ability to access or use Netflix, Amazon Prime or cast from your phone. Mattress had indents on both sides, needed to be replaced.

An excellent place to stay in Funchal! A very convenient location, with plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby. The staff is very attentive, the breakfast is wonderful and varied, and there is a rooftop pool and bar with a magnificent view!

Everything was absolutely fine during our stay. Service, parking, food, and overall hospitality were all very good. The hotel was comfortable, well organized, and the staff was professional and helpful. We had a great experience overall.

We had a nice stay at The Vine. It was overall clean and very modern in most regards. It was dark in the room even with all lighting on. The refrigerator was subpar, but all else was great. The location was GREAT!

I can’t rave enough about this hotel!! Parking included, fantastic and knowledgeable staff, unbelievable brunch/breakfast and the room was just outstanding. Reception was so patient with all my questions. Female staff really spent time with me and gave me the best advice. I really wish I remembered her name but she is exceptionally good at her role. I do wish there was a bottle opener in the room instead of having to get it from the front desk but that’s a small suggestion.

We enjoyed the beautiful hotel and room, breakfast was delicious with many choices. Best of all was the service. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Clean room. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great gym that is never busy. Perfect location.

Located in prime location in Funchal. Staff was super friendly and welcoming, they accommodated our request of early breakfast on multiple occasions (with an advanced notice). The hotel was clean and housekeeping was responsive.

Bar was good but the weather was Rainey and cold so the hot tub was not on

The pool is small. Breakfast felt a bit chaotic with a lot if people trying to get drinks and food in a cramped space

A perfectly locacated, high tech and high touch, high end choice.

Hotel location and parking were extremely hard to find and navigate. The hotel in itself was nice and had kind staff. Our room was upgraded but it had a very strange layout. Tub was in the middle of the room which is awkward if traveling with friends and family, the shower and sink leaked into the main room, and there was insufficient lighting. Other than that it was a pleasant stay!
