It was pretty average. Seemed a bit slow for the season. Overall it was okay

Really good stay, clean hotel, friendly staff, beautiful location, parking wasn’t great.

Spacious and clean room, with fab shower. Tasty breakfast. Reception staff highly supportive and patient (I had booked the wrong day). I would not hesitate to rebook in future.

The room itself (superior room, 2 twin beds, non-smoking) was perfectly adequate, spacious, clean and comfortable (beds), good shower. Would have been perfect had it had a fridge to keep our drinks cool (particularly with the UK heatwaves we have currently) and maybe a few wine glasses would have been useful. However, when we checked in the man on reception was extremely unhelpful and dismissive, gave us no instructions at all regarding breakfast etc. so it was somewhat disappointing on first impression to feel so unwelcomed! The day we checked out there was a different guy on reception and he was the total opposite and very friendly. I would look at who you have employed on reception as we very much got the impression that the first chap was just as unhelpful to the other guests that day. Also, the woman that is the manager at breakfast in the dining room was helpful and friendly to staff but really mean to all the younger workers there, particularly the young girls. She was barking out orders to them, at one point I heard her say to one of the girls, "when I want something done now, I mean NOW" - so that wasn't pleasant to sit and watch/listen to and just felt very unecessary. It wasn't particularly busy there and there was plenty of staff on, the manager seemed flustered and just very condescending to the other staff. Such a shame. I would not want to work there with her!

Disabled room was excellent! Plenty of room for wheelchairs to maneouvre. Clean and comfortable. Also dog friendly too in the rooms, bar and restaurant. Parking is very tricky though with only a handful of spaces.

We had a lovely stay at the Burlington Hotel in Folkestone. We booked the Deluxe Room with the four-poster bed, and it was spacious, comfortable, and full of character. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the hotel itself has a beautiful, traditional charm. The only downside was that there is no air conditioning (or at least none that we could find anywhere in the building). There was a table fan provided in the room, but during the recent 26°C+ weather in the UK, it simply wasn't enough to keep the room cool, especially overnight. If you're staying during the cooler months, I imagine this wouldn't be an issue at all. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, but air conditioning would make a huge difference during the summer months.

An old fashioned hotel which is clean, welcoming and close to the beach. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially the young girl in the restaurant. Only downside is there is a lot of scaffolding up at the moment and we were unable to open our windows ,due to ladders making it feel unsafe, but would definitely recommend and stay again.

All the staff are exceptional, the hotel itself is a grand old lady who “has still got IT” and why would anyone stay anywhere else in Folkestone?

Internet was terrible .. I had no signal…the lovely person on reception told me they were aware of connection issues and were dealing with it. The staff and hotel itself were, as always, wonderful!! Great breakfast too!!

We enjoyed our stay, breakfast was good, with a variety of choices. The room was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't use the bar so cannot comment on that

Do not stay here, a strange man entered our room in the middle of the night and we have been treated appallingly! Staff were unwilling to help at the time and we were lied to on numerous occasions. We ended up finding the culprit ourselves who admitted he had used a card to enter our room and the staff basically said we left the door open when we absolutely did not ! No sleep and full refund refused! Do not stay here find somewhere else that cares about your safety and security and serious staff issues resulting in no one being in charge during the night.
