Great breakfast general good

We arrived to check into an accessible room. No help was offered to navigate a small set of steps to our room. No explanation of the amenities available or what time breakfast was served . The following morning our television didn't work breakfast was £16.95 for full english so we ate elsewhere. On our return after a lovely day out we were greeted with very loud music which all the guests had to endure as the events room doors were left open,so when we had to return to reception as our room key didn't work the only receptionist on duty couldn't hear what I was saying. There was only one receptionist on duty so we had quite a wait to sort our room key out and no apology. On returning to our room we discovered the television didn't work, the phone in the room didn't work so I rang from my mobile and yes the receptionist couldn't hear me and told me off for shouting my room number at him how was I meant to make him hear me? Again no apology needless to say we won't be staying with Holiday Inn Washington again.

All good parking good Breakfast one of the best in a hotel

Place was nice, room was in great condition, comfy beds, staff were friendly.

Good night sleep, kind staff and reasonable breakfast. However, the hotel has seen better days, it is very tired, the bathroom has mould and even if it had been cleaned ….we could say it was not “gleaming”. It was reasonable for the price but it was not near as nice as the photographs!

Brilliant hotel and in a great location

We travelled as a couple with our dog the staff were so friendly and helpful. Every single one of them. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Great staff, breakfast suited us well and was tasty. Location was good with easy access to the A1 and great if you want to go to Beamish or other local sites like the Tanfield railway.

We (party of 3 disabled people) again enjoyed an excellent stay. The disabled rooms were great and nothing was to much trouble. The breakfast and restaurant menu was wonderful. My father in law loved the black pudding at breakfast. Hope to see you later in the year.

It was clean, quiet & a quick stop over on a business trip.

The room was provided with all the essentials, including an iron. The hairdryer was good and the bed comfortable.

Really close to the A1. Spacious room. Plenty of parking.

Standard Holiday Inn. Staff were nice and breakfast was amazing.

Parking good Breakfast option-overpriced and nothing freshly cooked Would avoid weekends if a wedding party was on as very noisy in hotel rooms adjoining. Restaurant ok but substituted by a meetings room on one day of our visit which was like a mausoleum Heating good to start with but a cold spell whilst there and cold on mornings and evenings Accessibility good - no stairs to speak -there’s a lift as well Staff so so some ok -some less so Wouldn’t stay there again

Very nice stay , rooms were clean and the beds are very comfortable, breakfast was nice as well , would stay there again for sure
