What a lovely hotel. Very easy booking in/out, lovely food and a great bar area. The building is beautiful and very well maintained, rooms very spacious, comfortable and everything works as it should. Excellent rates, a winner all round. Well done to all the staff, an excellent, comfortable stay was had.

We had a lovely overnight stay, great location, nice hotel and fabulous staff - in particular Viktoria on Reception who was so welcoming, efficient and friendly. We were also very well looked after in the bar by Marlon , who treated us to a fantastic cocktail and also made us feel very welcome. Thank you , friendly service like that makes for a great memorable stay.

Staff were great. Receptionist came across like she loved where she worked.

Lovely location and short 15 minute walk from the old town centre. Room was a good size and always love a walk in shower. There are parking spaces which can also be reserved for a small fee.

Great stay ... lovely room, fabulous shower, great value for what we paid we felt. welcoming staff. Had a few whiskeys in the bar between us, but did not eat here so can't comment on the food. Parking was very limited but rates very reasonable in the multistory car park opposite.

Room was clean and a good size, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the Bar and Terrace bar areas were perfect.

Close to many shops, restaurants, and Tunbridge Wells' train station. Excellent restaurant on site. Beautiful property/gardens. Staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I definitely would stay here again.

Old properties always have the issue of requiring lots of money to be spent on them to be brought into the 21st Century and this property is no different, but don't get me wrong - it's fine without being particularly special. We had a very spacious but dated room and bathroom- with a TV that kept dropping its signal, bath in the middle of the bedroom and a metal shower tray along with my pet hate of no power sockets on the bedside locker. We had dinner one evening on the hotel: I selected the Sole (which was Market Fish of the Day). No prices on this and maybe my fault for not double checking but equally i think the waiter should have double checked with me!! (It cost me a whopping £47.50- veg / potatoes were all extra)! This left a different sort of sour taste! All in all - the hotel is fine but could be so much better. Maybe a few Draft options in the bar would also be nice!

At check-in they lost our luggage. It had been put in storage on arrival as our room wasn't ready. Then, on our return they couldn't find it, the receptionist said he would have to check CCTV, to see if we had actually brought it in as though he didn't believe us.. They later found it in another storage area but no apology.

Room was beautiful, but as so many other old hotels are, the floors creak so if you get a neighbor above who moves a lot, sleep is a bit hard to come by.

This was our second stay here. We booked "Half Board", and were upgraded to a better room which was very good indeed. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only slight concern was with our dinner main course, which seemed less good than previously. Hopefully this was "a glitch"
