I could hear people walking about in the room above mine all evening But otherwise lovely stay.

Good breakfast and dinner menus. Comfortable rooms.

Generally good. Reception service could do with a smile. The bed in our room has got to be the worst ever I have slept on and off in.

Not overly friendly check in. Twin room. Only one set of towels given. Dinner - had to wait for staff to attend. Greasy tempura prawns. Too much sauce. Plastic cheese on the nachos. Good breakfast. Easy check out. Good parking.

Adequate facilities but in our “premier” room there was a failed lamp, broken light switch and insufficient towels in the bathroom. Toilet was difficult to flush needs several operations. Generally the decor is jaded.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay .Room 66 was ideal and would ask to stay there again.We had a very nice meal in the restaurant and sevice was very good .Our only criticism is we could not get the shower to work ,the water was barely warm and the valve to turn it up was not working.We have mentioned it to reception and hope if we stay again it will be fixed.

Distinctly average, had a strange vibe of emptiness in many areas, dated.

Lovely spacious room and ensuite bathroom, with added perk of a bath (I love a relaxing bath when on holiday!). Plenty of hot water. Unfortunately washing hair in shower was very difficult as shower controls were too sensitive to get the right temperature - either too hot or too cold. Comfortable bed and quiet room. Great night's sleep once I had removed plastic mattress cover! Why on earth are guests assumed to be incontinent/likely to spill liquid on the bed?! - there are many very reasonably priced non-plastic, more comfortable mattress protectors that can be bought.

Great hotel, rooms are clean and comfortable. Service always excellent as well. Plenty of parking available.

Lovely character hotel. Room was excellent and we were upgraded to a suite. Very close to the station. Only one station away from David Austin Rose garden. Restaurant was good also.

We really enjoyed our stay, food choice was good for evening meals and not too over priced. Self serve breakfast had a very good variety of food, from full English to cereals and fruit etc. Room and beds were very comfortable. Receptionist on Friday and Saturday evening, was very helpful. We are not tekkie, so she went above and beyond to help us book a local taxi firm for a wedding venue 10 minutes away. Price was what we expected to pay, and they were on time and pleasant. All staff at hotel were very helpful and pleasant. Thank you

Stayed on a Sunday evening so the hotel was quiet, and the location is probably always quiet. Unfortunately on Sundays there isn't an opportunity for food other than sitting in the main restaurant. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The bathroom needs upgrading but was OK.

The room was very spacious clean does need a bit of T L C and more personality imto the room, didn't seem to be many staff about but overall was a very relaxing weekend bar prices a little high close to the local shops withn walking distance the bulimg its self is lovey even better once they have done a bit of renovating in the rooms but yes its was ok
