Fantastic time to check in to check out. 4th time staying there, never disappointed.

Room was perfect, spacious and warm. It’s an old building so it had little steps to watch out for. So much variety for breakfast - cooked to order hot food, pastries, yoghurts etc. Some evenings it was a bit noisy outside but not for long and it is an Inn / pub. Parked 4pm-10am for free outside the cathedral. Highly recommend staying here.

Great staff

The White Hart is a stunning Grade 1 listed building with beautiful cozy decor. Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming and they had a fantastic food & range of beers & ciders (locally sourced)! It is conveniently located very close to Wells market, the cathedral and Bishops Palace. We would 100% recommend The White Hart to anyone who wishes to visit Wells

The Inn is located in the heart of Wells, a stone's throw from the Cathedral and Bishop's Palace.Being a very old town centre Inn there is no customer parking, but the nearest car park is around ten minutes walk away and we parked there safely for two nights

The staff at the inn were all excellent - very friendly and welcoming. Hang on to them!

Gorgeous old place full of charm and character really lovely, staff amazing and helpful, bedroom was clean and well appointed. Only drawback was stairs for a disabled person were difficult!! The booking site didn’t show how to ask for a ground floor room. But I would phone the hotel direct next time I decide to visit Wells.

Room looked bigger in the pictures. Poor layout meant there was little room for my luggage. Lighting was poor, with the alcove with the chair positively gloomy. Bathroom was good, with an actual bath :-) Rooms were quiet - in the courtyard at the back. Parking is challenging, unless you are lucky opposite and don't mind moving by 8am.

Stayed for one night, in a cozy double room. Very small room with a sink in it. Separate toilet and shower. If you’re over 5 foot tall or large build, you’ll struggle. Light sleeper? there is a skylight that has no blinds. Wi-Fi didn’t work in the room. Didn’t pay a lot but avoid this room choice and upgrade. We would stay there again but not in this room. Staff were great.

This charming, friendly Inn was such a delightful find. The location could not have been better, and the welcome was warm. Perfect for a solo traveller.

We had an enjoyable stay at the white hart. The building is very old but our room was across a courtyard at the back and it was clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom great shower too. We had an evening meal and breakfast cooked to order both of which were really nice. All the staff are great very accommodating and friendly. Would stay there again. Wells is a beautiful little town

Great accommodation in the heart of Wells. Friendly welcome, great bar and food options at the pub. It’s a very old building and very characterful. Our room was upstairs in the yard. It was comfortable but dark. It was hot so we were grateful for the fan provided. Coffee and tea making facilities but no kettle in our room. It was eventually provided after asking several times. It was perfect for a city break in Wells as we didn’t spend much time in the room, opting to sit on the cathedral green in the sunshine during the evening.

Room was lovely. Clean and comfortable. Water/tea/coffee facilities were replenished daily, which was nice.

Great location, super friendly staff. Room could use some modernization, a bit pricey for what you get, but the location can't be beat.

There was no lift in this hotel. Granted its an old building but we were in a superior room ! Which was outside the main building but to access our room we had to climb a very very steep flight of stairs ...as we our both in our 70's this wasn't ideal...Also on our girst morning there was no hot water for showers or washing...when i enquired i was told the boiler was being serviced....it would have been nice to have been informed before hand
