We absolutely loved this hotel from check in to check out and everything in between. It was close to the action, but far enough to where you didn't have to deal with noise. The back gate to the "alleyway" directly to central road was absolutely perfect so you didn't have to walk down the rocky dirt road near the front entrance. The front desk was always friendly and readily available for any requests we may have had. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked well. Breakfast here is fantastic too. 100% recommend this hotel and I hope to return soon!

Good… room a tad warm prior arrival. Bland decor but overall nice room. Up staples definitely reminded us of entering a tree fort . 10 minute walk to shopping. No uber.

We stayed for four nights at the beginning of a 10-day visit to Costa Rica. We were looking for somewhere walkable to town and the beach, but with a pool where we could relax in the shade reading in the hot afternoons. Arco Iris was perfect! We stayed in room #2 - one of the individual cabinas with a covered porch and hammock. Comfy bed, spacious bathroom and dressing area, excellent AC, and perfect porch for watching birds and monkeys. Daily breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Lots of options (I think we tried them all!), coffee available all day, a cold water dispenser, and so much space to sit and chill - shade or sun. The pool was refreshing and always clean, and the vibe was super chill. Highly recommend and would be at the top of our list if we return to Tamarindo.

Beautiful and quiet location. Excellent staff. Easy parking. Though Tamarindo was crowded, you’d never know it while there. Delicious breakfast option to boot.

I loved the boutique style of this hotel! Our room was really nice and clean. It is a quaint remodeled hotel but nicely maintained, Great pool and seating areas in the common area. Delicious breakfast choices, loved the staff - Hi Christian! We met a bunch of other guests like ourselves who were really fun too. Wish we could all get together there again next year!

This was one of the most lovely, gracious, welcoming and comfortable places I've ever stayed. The architecture is gorgeous. It's a close walk to downtown and the beach but is quiet at night. Enjoyed the included drinks by the pool and slept so well! The included breakfast was great too. Would stay again any time!

The room was as advertized - clean, if somewhat plain. Breakfasts were included, and were fine, if not inspired. Reception is one person, who is there during daytime hours. Overall, a nice place to stay, but definitely not a luxury resort.

Staff was super friendly. Place was close enough to town and all of the happenings but far enough to stay quieter at night. Room was clean and cozy.

We think a cooked to order breakfast is a great way to start the day! Then ten minutes to the beach until lunchtime and the day’s heat sent us back to the hotel pool to cool off and read with a cold beverage. Easy walk downtown for dinner and a comfy cool bed to return to.

We stayed in three different hotels in Costa Rica for this week-long trip and this was by far the best. Though the rooms were a bit more expensive than the others, this was justified by the amenities. Rooms were nice, water was hot. And the breakfast, which is included, was a full made-to-order breakfast that would make any restaurant proud. Juan Carlos made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Would recommend.

The Arco Iris is a charming hotel with helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast included was cooked to order and always delicious. The fresh juice and coffee were great. The pool and surrounding lounging area was very quiet and comfortable. In all, this hotel is a wonderful place to stay and a good value while visiting Tamarindo.

Very nice hotel, central but far enough from the bars and clubs, which ensures a very quiet environment, especially at night, which is great. One minor recommendation would be to reinforce the fumigation. In my bungalow, there were quite a few small ants (mainly in the bathroom, but I found a couple in the bed) and a few “zompopas”.

Lovely spot to stay near town, but quiet. Staff and food was excellent. Nothing super fancy, but nothing wrong either. Would recommend.
