The staff were excellent and extremely friendly.

Hotel itself was quirky, good food, helpful and friendly staff. Location good for our visit to the area. Overall the room was lovely. Bed was comfortable, nice little touches like a decent mini fridge with water and fresh milk for tea and coffee, and a radio playing classic fm as we arrived in room. Good size, plenty of space, no noise from neighbouring rooms. . However room Jay was right above the kitchen and dining room and a lot of banging early in morning.

Wonderful accommodation and pub

Great customer service and comfortable room. Had a great night’s sleep. Only critique is the rain shower didn’t have a lot of pressure but overall the stay was great

Our room was very tired- stained paintwork and ceiling. No hairdryer. We have stayed before in a different room which was very pleasant. Easy and free parking.

Lovely room but too hot and not able to open windows. Bathroom looked a bit tired and shower mastic dirty. Staff lovely just needs some tlc in the bathroom

Lovely cosy pub

Lovely staff, big comfy bed, toasty warm room, cafetiere and ground coffee, good shower. Lighting was a bit dim for reading/ working and a few areas of the decor were worn.

Much nicer than we expected lovely clean rooms, very clean & comfortable. Likes having a served breakfast menu rather than expensive buffet as we aren’t big breakfast eaters

Friendly staff, good prices, comfortable room, tasty imaginative food.

The room was hot and smelled musty (Wren) when I walked in. I immediately opened the windows to try and get rid of the smell, but the windows are on a cable, so don't open very far. The radiator in the bathroom was on full which didn't help matters and I con't think there was a way to turn it off, despite being 16 degrees outside. When I tried to use the air conditioning, it turned on, but I couldn't get it to blow any air. To be fair, I didn't report any of the issues as I dragged off my hot motorbike gear and was too exhausted to get dressed and go back downstairs. Staff may well ahve resolved the heat issue for me if I'd asked. Slept with the window open all night, but luckily it was quiet - absolutely no noise from outside despite being a pub. On the positive side, the bed was really comfy, pillows were good and I was given somewhere out of sight to park the motorbike where I could chain it to a post. The staff are really friendly and helpful too. Can't comment on breakfast as it starts at 7am and I had already left.

The staff was absolutely lovely, but the photos didn’t ring true to actuality. The carpet was riddled with stains, the room smelled musty, the bathroom toilet lid had permanent scratches that made it feel dirty, the walls were marked with stains and scratches, the ceiling was damaged, and there were termites or flying ants inside near windows. Again, staff was so kind.

The people were lovely and friendly, check in was quick and easy, and the room was clean and comfortable. 100% recommend
