We stayed in Villa 99-5. . To sum it up quickly, the price to experience was in our opinion way too high. Also as a member an elite member, I did not get the discounts on the Cabana rentals and beach chair. The restaurant staff and food was very good. For the price we believe that there should be more comps than provided. Also on checking out the elevator was not working to allow the upstairs to bring their luggage down conveniently. The other complaint which was an ongoing complaint was the TVs not that you need to watch him when you're on such a beautiful island but if kids were staying they would need some entertainment at the evening I would believe. Again the cost to the experience was too expensive. For what you got. I would look at other opportunities or options for lodging where there was more bang for the buck.

$150/day to rent two lounge chairs and an umbrella on the beach! And when someone took the volleyball we checked out, we were charged $75 for not returning it . The hotel is starting to look dated on the outside and construction is ongoing around the spa, which makes it not a relaxing experience. Dining options are much better at the Four Seasons. If it weren’t for the slides and pools, we would move on.

This is a dream vacation and The Grand Wailea is a dream resort on a breathtaking beach front property. They have beautiful pools, delicious food/drinks and fun activities. Whether you stay at the pool or the beach, you have food and drink services. We are a family of five and stayed in the villas that are right across the street. The complimentary shuttle will take you around to the different restaurants and shops that are within a mile from the resort. Highly recommend this resort!

I like daily house keeping service. I don't like that the ocean view is nearly all block by plants, it can't even counted as partial ocean view. The first house furniture is also in very old style.

The best way for families to do Maui, but quite pricey. The villas give you the best of both worlds if you rent from the hotel directly, as you can use Grand Wailea’s pools and amenities. However, Ho’Olei has its own pool, gym and poolside massage service so you don’t necessarily need to go over to the big hotel and deal with the larger crowds unless you have small kids that really want a waterslide and lazy river experience. You can use the public beach without staying at the main hotel or staying through the hotel booking. If using the hotel amenities is not a priority then you may get more cost-effective options staying at the privately owned villas. Wailea is a beautiful part of the island and close to Kihei town for shopping for essentials and lots of hole in the wall seafood, poke, and diner food joints. The aquarium is only 20 minutes away, the airport 30, Lahaina and Kaanapali 35 minutes. The service and set up of these villas is excellent and most have large balconies with grills and expansive views of the ocean and the hotel resort.

Beautiful home with all the amenities we wanted; comfortable beds, extra clean, gorgeous view, and easy access to the Grand Wailea and beach! We felt very safe with our covid travel; strict precautions taken by Ho’olei and social distancing was easy. We will definitely return to Ho’olei

The villa was really nice overall. However for the cost - would have expected the furnishings to be in better shape and a complete set of dishes. The master bedroom and living room were in need of updating.

Had a wonderful week at the condo. Stunning view. Staff feel like family. Room service is great. Watching sunset at sea right from the balcony. Hotel provides more than what we need to enjoy the beach and the stay.

Overall experience was amazing. I have one big complain is that the restrooms by the pool at the Grand Wailea were disgusting. Really dirty constantly. Super bad smell. Really bad. And every one in our party (we were 7 families) we all had the exact same complain. They need to put AC in those bathrooms and clean them way more often.

The location was great but its not as close to the beach as you might think. The shuttle service was wonderful and the drivers were all friendly and helpful. The Villa was really nice but we did have a bug issue our first night and it was handled promptly. It felt like home, very cozy rental with lots of space for our family of 5.
