A fairly mixed experience. It was easy to check in and out, but other than that I hardly ever saw anyone at the front desk. At one point I realized, by observing another guest interact with the front desk, that maybe I could’ve left my key with them when I went out, but they were almost never there when I left or came back, so not quite sure how well that would have worked anyway. The building itself is pretty cool, and the location is FANTASTIC. Also, free sparkling and flat bottles of water refilled each day was a nice touch considering the excessive summer heat. The room was also very air conditioned—I prefer a temperature of about 22C than the 18C it was set to when I arrived, and struggled to turn down the fan, which was pretty loud when trying to sleep. I had also written in advance to let them know it was my birthday but there must have been some confusion, because when I arrived I had a cute happy wedding anniversary set up in my single room. My bathroom wasn’t great. The towel rod for the rack attached to the sink was missing and I kept scratching my legs on the pieces sticking out. The safety bar in the shower wasn’t rusty and very dirty-looking. And the toilet was very loud and giggly with every flush. Also, breakfast was an extra €15 per day—compared to nearby restaurants ranging from €3 for coffee/croissant to €13 for a full English breakfast.

Great front desk staff; breakfast was a slightly better than average buffet in a beautiful dining room. The lobby area of this old convent is historically maintained & rich in character. The lobby area & dining area did lack A/C, which was sorely needed during this heat wave. The bedroom we had lacked enough vacant plugs to use for charging our devices. Overall tho, this was a marvelous & comfortable accommodation.

Hotel is gorgeous and in a perfect location. Our room was spacious with a huge bath and comfortable bed. My only complaint is that the air conditioner was not very strong- but the staff provided us with a fan that was a big help.

Amazing hotel right in the middle of the old town in Aix-en-Provence. It was only a few steps away from the bus stop and tourism office, which also made day trips easy. The room was comfy and clean, with unique features.

The hotel was beautiful and we had a wonderful room (one of the larger rooms). The location of the hotel was perfect. Near the old city but quiet. The staff was wonderful and provided good restaurant recommendations. I also enjoyed the afternoon cocktails and meeting others in the hotel. I definitely would return to this hotel. The parking garage was close by and easy to get to.

I was impressed with Meriem’s willingness to be helpful with my inquiries. She and Red were most cordial with me and other guests. The ambience of the reception area from the staircase to furnishings, art work and the vaulted ceilings made such an impression upon arriving.

Great boutique hotel in the heart of Aix. Lovely converted convent hotel with convenient location to all main sights. Close to restaurants and shopping it offered a great stay to kick off my travels in France. Staff were helpful and I would book again.

Parking is off-site about a block away which is good, but there was was no pre notification as to where to park. We had to travers the old city, lanes wide enough for medieval carts, to find out we couldn't drive to the hotel. We called and they were very sorry and gave us great directions to the parking ramp. Also, our shower was a pretty bad experience causing water to nearly flood the entire room.

The location of this hotel could not be beaten, perfectly located close to everything - restaurants, shopping cafes, sights and transport. The staff were amazing and our room was huge. They had a Nespresso machine which was very much appreciated, the bed and pillows were comfy, the room was quiet. The hotel itself is in a gorgeous historical building with a very interesting history. I would stay here again if I’m ever lucky enough to return to Aix -en-Provence.
