The staff was friendly and engaging, and the property grounds are just lovely - sandstone patios and walks leading into views of the village cliffs.

The beds were hard and the room was very small. Otherwise, this hotel was comfortable.

Very nice property and nice restaurant. No elevator so with luggage it was a bit tricky. Beautiful location.

Cosy and quaint room with a excellent restaurant and quirkly decorated reception area. Beds comfortable and decent for the price. Friendly happy staff. Parked our car safely outside for free.

Extremely charming spot--the location is not only central, it's right on the both the river and the main square and across the street from the museum; A very cozy and comfortable hotel with super friendly staff. Upsides far outweigh the down sides (Short on in-room amenities and you should skip the lousy breakfast (coffee from a vending machine)). Unfortunately the restaurant was not open for dinner and we were not able to experience what we heard is the wonderful food. Price is very very reasonable for the the overall experience. Would definitely stay again next time we are in the region.

Nice stay. Especially nice were Jerome and Giselle in the restaurant. Also excellent food. Close to many top Dordogne sites. Some limits in parking spaces, also no elevator which is typical of older hotels. Would definitely stay again.

Very low-key management. Goya, the house Jack Russell, was always around to greet you and chase tennis balls.

Great location across from Pre-History Museum and close to very good restaurants, but still quiet. The Restaurant at the hotel was outstanding. Very helpful staff. Parking a bit of an adventure, but workable. Could walk to Font de Gaume.

This is a charming and very comfortable hotel. I received a very warm welcome when i arrived and was made to feel right at home. Both breakfast and evening meal were very good and the service was first class. This is a fantastic location for visiting the Dordogne region with much to see and visit in the village and surrounding area. I have no reservations in recommending this hotel and would happily stay there again

The staff was extraordinary, we arrived very late and two staff remained to assist us with checking in, luggage and welcoming us to the hotel. The room was cozy and comfortable. The staff had some challenges with English, but helped us and answered all our questions.

The hotel is centrally located for activities, canoeing, visiting caves or medieval towns, or even watching part of the Tour de France next July. I had a single on the fourth floor (no elevator). The bathroom was reasonably large, but the separate toilet was unreasonably cramped. The food in the restaurant was fine.

Personable and adept albeit small staff make this charming ivy-draped hotel a delightful choice sandwiched between rocky cliff and romantic river, featuring close access to prehistory museum and caves. Top class French cuisine prepared by owner/chef, friendly help re the area, free and close parking. Clean rooms, pleasant views and just a hearty feel made this a favorite stay.

Hotel is centrally located across from the Museum of Prehistory and a 10 minute walk to Font de Gaume. All the staff were extremely helpful during our stay. Cycle storage was provided. Room was adequate. In particular, lunch was first class and a bargain. The manager helped arrange transport for us to Sarlat on a very rainy day at a reasonable cost.

The location of the hotel put us into the middle of the Dordogne and many prehistoric cave sites. Access to the region was our most important concern, and this hotel provided for all of our immediate needs.
