This is a historic building that has been beautifully restored. The rooms are thoughtfully updated with finishes that complement the building’s original character. It was quiet and very comfortable throughout our stay. The view from our room was spectacular—we found ourselves wanting to sit by the window and simply relax. The shower, with multiple jets, was both luxurious and fun. The breakfast room was lovely, offering great views along with a good selection of food. The location was also perfect, making it easy to enjoy everything nearby.

Nice walk to hotel from train station. It is up a hill but going back to train station is easier. Breakfast was included which was helpful to have since we did not see any stores open or any food places on walk to and from train station. There is an elevator to help with luggage. Clean rooms and hotel clean and nice with unique antiques throughout hotel. Even a big cute polar bear at lobby to welcome you. Great view of lake.

It is a old fashioned hotel. It's convenient from the train station by bus. The view from the breakfast room is beautiful. Breakfast is average, it can be better. Room is clean. Overall it's a good stay for my one night stay in St. Mortiz.

Although the map makes it look like the hotel is a bit of a distance from the station, there is a large underground parking garage located immediately to the west of the station exit. Since you can cover a significant portion of the route using elevators and escalators, the walk to the hotel is actually much easier than it appears on the map. If you request the hotel shuttle service, they will take you to the station for CHF 13—which is cheaper than taking a taxi (which cost CHF 18). The hotel itself is a charming, atmospheric building that truly evokes a sense of history. While it may come down to personal taste, I personally found it delightful. The hotel restaurant offers dining with a view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up having both dinner and breakfast there. The beer, wine, soup, salad, and main dishes—everything was delicious. After staying here for one night, I took the Bernina Express to Tirano for an overnight stay, then returned to St. Moritz to spend another night at this hotel. During that interim, the hotel kindly stored my luggage for me; this made the trip to Tirano incredibly convenient, as I only needed to pack the essentials for one night into my backpack. Upon my return, I found that my stored luggage had already been moved to my room—another thoughtful touch that made things very easy.

This is an older building but it is so beautifully maintained with wonderful character that we really enjoyed. Excellent buffet breakfast in a charming large room, and the lake views are stunning!

The property is 120 years old, immaculately maintained and oozing with old world charm. The location is special, on a hillsides overlooking the city and lake. Comfortable beds, pillows, down comforters.

Nice hotel with good facilities and in a good position. Food was really nice and well priced. They allow smoking in the bar area, I think is wrong as they is an outside veranda where people can access for a smoke.

This is a lovely well-maintained property, and overall we enjoyed our stay. Lots of interesting vintage memorabilia and antiques. My low rating is primarily due to the tiny bathroom with no counter space and an absolutely treacherous bathtub. You have to step very high to get into the tub, and then it’s just unbelievably slippery. Feared for my life!

Room was very clean and the bathroom was very modern despite the age of the hotel. The lake/ mountain view was spectacular Breakfast at the hotel was very good. The lounge was nice but they allow smoking so it wasn’t the best air quality. That was the only disappointment. It was cool to see all the antique furniture.

We had a very nice room with a sitting area and a good view of the town. The hotel had character and felt like a stately home and that was enjoyed.

We recently stayed at Soldanella for two nights while attending White Turf in St. Moritz. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations. We arrived early for check-in and were met by a front desk staff member who was not particularly welcoming and throughout our stay and seemed reluctant to store our luggage until the official 3:00 pm check-in time. First impressions matter, and this set an unfortunate tone for our stay. Additionally, the room we received did not match the one I had booked, which was disappointing. The breakfast offerings were also quite limited and did not feel aligned with the overall price point of the hotel. Given the hotel’s location and reputation, we had hoped for a more polished and hospitable experience.

Nice old style hotel with amazing views but value for money low, never paid $18 Aussie dollars for a bottle of water and whilst room was a great size, bathroom was dated and really small and poor amenities in room

If you’re looking for a slice of traditional Swiss hospitality, Hotel Soldanella is the place for you. It blends the workmanship of the past with modern convenience in a perfect location in St. Moritz. We had a wonderful and romantic stay here and the views from every window were enchanting. I highly recommend!
