Loved the very unique large beautiful property with access to beach and quite local town. Room was comfortable with wonderful views of the sun setting over Capri in the distance. Great staff… classic hotel.

Most amazing Villa and rooms. Unique and authenticate Palace in central location right on beach. Even though it was off season, the hotel was well staffed. Breakfast was good. Fantastic room.

Property is stunning and view was incredible. The room was a dream. Two small issues: there were ants and I could not get hot water in my beautiful tub to take a bath

On arrival waited 1.1/2 hours for my bags. Room was lovely and bed very comfortable. Beautiful view. The pool restaurant wasn’t great. My husband’s pasta was awful. Being Italian we expected so much better. Waited over an hour. Beach area ok. Plenty of beds. Overall we enjoyed our stay even though my sister in law had to show the bar staff how to make certain drinks.

This property was magnificent. I stayed in this historical castle in a gorgeous suite overlooking the sea. If you come to this area, staying at Pallazo Belmonte is a must on your list. The region is filled with wonderful people, beautiful scenery, the best food in the world and Grecian ruins that everyone should see.

We loved the room, the grounds, the beach, the friendliness of the staff. It was very much end of season so a few things missing at breakfast like choice of fruit and no honey left after the first day but they the waitress was very helpful and cooked us excellent eggs every day.

The Hotel Belmonte is a hidden gem! The pool is lovely. The sandy beach is both beautiful with fabulous clear, clean water. The reception was excellent and perfect English is spoken just in case you do not have a command of Italian. Fantastic views from the restaurant/bar! The internet was spotty. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable and relaxing.

Lovely hotel, stunning location. Would be even nicer if the rooms had tea/coffee making facilities. Initial access to hotel was a challenge as gates were locked. Would have helped to know that there would be no-one on reception to let us in until after 4.00 pm! Would definitely recommend it for off season holiday.

Amazing! Beautiful rustic hotel with fantastic grounds and garden. Nice pool and breakfast area, and superb location for walking around a quaint little beach town. But by far the best thing was the sensational private beach. Definitely missing some amenities (no wifi in room, room service, gym, shower curtain, etc.), so not a 5* hotel by any means, but I'll give it 5* for what it has.

This hotel is located on a beautiful estate overlooking the sea and the small town of Santa Marie di Castellabate. Upon arrival, we were treated to an upgrade because the room that we had reserved had water damage. Our new, upgraded room was a lovely suite with a terrace overlooking the beach. Unfortunately, it had the strong odor of sewer gas emanating from the bathroom. When we reported it to the management, they were aware and trying to fix it. We enjoyed a lovely, simple, sunrise dinner on the property overlooking the ocean. Breakfast was served at yet another lovely spot but was shockingly spare with respect to the food that was offered. This hotel has amazing potential to be a lovely oasis, but it is badly in need of investment.

One of the highlights of our trip to Italy was our stay at the Palazzo Belmonte. We arrived at the end of the season, but the weather was still warm and sunny. With only a few guests, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was enchanting walking around the deserted courtyards and grounds of the villa on the edge of the Tyrrhenian Sea. We had read a few recent bad reviews posted after we made our reservations and were a little worried about the conditions. I would like to refute them. The only thing we found that was true about the recent detractions was that there is no lift, there are gravel walkways and the flooring is uneven.... but what do you expect from a 17th century villa? This added to the charm. If you have trouble walking, then this is not the place for you. If you are comfortable walking the streets of Rome and Naples, then you will be fine here. The room was in excellent condition, the view from our terrace fantastic, and the breakfast was bountiful. The gardens were lovely with a pretty pool, private beach access, and lots of partially hidden little areas with a bench or table for private gatherings. It is a great base for exploring Cilento, we wished we had stayed longer and hope to return someday to the Palazzo Belmonte.

This hotel has incredible potential... Needs work, rooms need a makeover, charged high season rate but restaurant not open end of May. Great lunch on the terrace but not prepared...thanks to Giavanni we had two fabulous lunches. Breakfast On the terrace was lovely, but not the day it rained!!! We loved the town and the area. Don't think high Season rate was appropriate especially since half the restaurants In town were closed as well.
