Hidden away up a staircase is the charming and characterful Parc Suites Hotel. Please note that I am not aware of an elevator and it is 30 steps up to reception desk. The reception administrator was so kind and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Suite 8 was large and light with a super big and comfy bed. Well stocked kitchen for preparing meals. Smart TV so could log in to own accounts on huge wall mounted TV. My room faced away from Rue Parc and was nice and quiet at night. Just a couple of shops away is Provigo (Loblaws) so I bought fresh food and treats each day rather than eat out. Very close - 5 minute walk to McGill so great if visiting the University. Saint Barth Cafe across the road served delicious brunch. 30 minute walk down to Old Montreal and 15 minute walk to downtown area. I will definitely book here again when visiting Montreal.

Pros are the apartment setup is good, as was the proximity to the metro & grocery store. The fire escape was also great to be able to check the weather & also watch the sunset on Mount Royal. There was a makeshift ashtray out there when I arrived, so that’s a bonus if you smoke. Cons are that there were several hairs in between the sheets, so I couldn’t help but to assume they hadn’t been changed since the last guest, & the parking was scary for a night check in. I also wasn’t given any real instructions & only knew it was behind the building, so I accidentally missed it twice because it’s literally a tiny dark alley with trash everywhere. I saw rats running through the couple times I had to go out to the car which was likely due to the trash everywhere. I know they only own a small portion of the back lot, but that’s not a good look for a business in my opinion.

Well equipped kitchen, close to the metro (2 blocks) staff was very friendly and there was a grocery store within 1/2 a block. Close to shopping & restaurants. Nice beds & bedding. Overall a great stay.

Courteous, friendly, and helpful

The staff and hotel owner were very nice and helpful! We had an amazing stay, the room was big and included utensils, cups and more. The owner was very enthusiastic to help us with anything needed and I’d definitely stay here again.

We spent a week at this wonderful hotel and will definitely choose it again next time! Excellent conditions, clean (the room was cleaned and towels were changed every day!). I must also mention the hotel's excellent location and the very attentive and pleasant owner, who welcomed us as his guests!

The room was spacious, clean, quiet, and staff was friendly. I was however upset, when I booked the hotel I searched for parking included and pet friendly as I needed to bring my dog this trip. The hotel claimed in green lettering (to highlight) free valet parking (which we never received) but then I was instructed during our stay in the fine print it said self parking was available for $30 per day. Also, $30 per day for my dog. I find it deceiving to advertise pet friendly and free valet parking (especially highlighted) and then hide costs in fine print. This is not good customer service in my opinion, it shouldn’t require that much effort to compare properties and prices before booking. At the very least placing a dollar sign beside the options that require extra payment would prompt someone do look deeper in fine print (as many hotels and other rentals already do) the two night stay cost an additional $120 I was not expecting.

Jonathan was the best! So hospitable and helpful. He went out of his way to help us several times. He does an excellent job of taking care of the guests. He’s an asset to your hotel.

This was an amazing find. The entrance to the hotel is tucked away and you climb a (private/indoor) staircase to get to the lobby, but then you enter a charming space. It is about a small business, not a huge chain, and the owner is so friendly and accessible. It felt like a boutique: cute and clean, with A kitchenette you could definitely cook a meal in, though who would want to visiting Montreal! It was close to both McGill and the downtown, with many restaurants and cafes on the street.

The property is clean, and its location is excellent. As a small building, it does not have an elevator.
