Staff was excellent, room AC was outdated and ineffective and mattresses were flat

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a friendly and helpful receptionist and given our room key very quickly. The room was very small but it was clean and comfortable with almost everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The only thing we would have liked that wasn't there was tea/coffee making facilities for that first coffee in a morning. The Cite is just a 5 minute walk away with lots of things to see and do and lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. The new town is about a 20 minute walk away and going down there is all downhill. Again there are lots of bars, cafes and restaurants down there and lots to see and do. There are buses back to the cite and also the little white train which gives a good commentary.

This hotel is located just outside the old city walls and about 25 mins walk from train station. Rooms are quite small, breakfast is good and staff very helpful. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others.

Due to the weather we could not do much it was way too hot however the hotel was only a 2 minute walk to the Carcassonne Castle which was very convenient and the staff were very helpful and always willing to help. But transportation was very expensive and the distances were far. Otherwise everything was great!

Such an excellent location, right under the medieval cité but away from the business. There are plenty of lovely places to have dinner a short walk away, and it is also a very short walk over the bridge and into La Bastide for cafes and shops around Place Carnot. The swimming pool is quiet and was very welcome in such hot weather! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

Everything was perfect for us. Near the City of Carcassonne! Good breakfast .

Perfect location. 3 minutes from the entrance into the old city. Great breakfast. Refurbished (new looking) bathroom. Kind staff. Also private parking available at no cost.

Fantastically place hotel right outside the gates of the cite in Carcassonne. Friendly and helpful staff right from arrival to leaving, rooms were very nice and all the facilities were there if required.

Excellent location for visiting the old City. Great value. Clean and well kept. Good breakfast but would have been excellent if offered an option to boil a fresh egg. Decent car park. Fantastic shower. Didn't use pool as it was too early in the season.

The rooms are very small but clean and updated. Very close and convenient to the walled city!

The harridan on reception made us feel most unwelcome. Offered no I formation about the hotel or the area. Required city tax payment immediately (usually charged at check out). Face looked like it would crack if she smiled. Awful woman. The pool was cold, but nicely maintained and private. The location was about 20 min walk from the central square.

Very comfortable quiet hotel in excellent location, only short walk to the city walls. Rooms are small, beds were comfortable and bathroom had an excellent shower.

Lovely stay just outside the medieval city walls though no view from our room. 15 minute walk across beautiful medieval bridge into carcassone centre. Room was small but fine for 3-4 nights. Air con was good and needed in 30 degree heat. No bar but one just across the road

Nice hotel room great staff

Well kept hotel with all expected facilities. No soap in shower, air con temperamental but otherwise fine. Pool could do with the water being heated and there could be a bum fight for the sun loungers Polite service throughout

Located within minutes of the walled city. Nicely furnished and decorated room. Close to the river and bridge across to the new city. Easy to walk to the lovely shopping areas.
