For the price we paid, this was excellent! The hotel is stunning when you walk in, the rooms were nicely decorated, if a little grubby but we weren’t expecting 5*. The beds were really comfy. I’m not sure what the rooms would be like in summer as there was no heating or air conditioning and windows didn’t open much. The bars ares were excellent too! Staff were really nice, didn’t seem the best trained in hospitality, which surprised me for a Britannia Hotel but still, we weren’t put off - maybe some staff had called in sick and they were covering? We’d definitely return.

Yes, I had to crane my neck to the left practically out the window to see a small section of the beach.

Unclean and run down. Breakfast tasted cheap for £38 for 2 adults and a toddler. Strange setup and nothing like what was advertised. Extremely heavy and fast shutting doors, no good for little fingers in a family bedroom.

Internet was ok didn't use the hotel pool what staff we saw were ok.

Lovely hotel, it was very quiet, given it was March but a 25 minute wait for someone to come and serve in the bar seemed excessive- just didn’t seem to have staff about the place. Beach view was great and room very big. Great location if you can find a spot to park your car.

The room was spacious and clean, though the bed was tilted due to the floor so my other half didn’t get a great night sleep as felt like he was about to fall out of bed. The bathroom though dated was clean, however would have liked to have had the small bottles of shower gel / hair shampoo that was advertised in the room description, instead had 3 small pieces of wrapped soap but we went to the local shop and bought what we needed . The breakfast was really tasty however it would have been more perfect if it was warm. Cold egg and bacon on Saturday morning, it was still tasty so didn’t ruin it. We really enjoyed the entertainment in the lounge though was confusing when each time we bought the same drink the price varied by a couple of pounds at a time. The male staff were really nice however the female blonde receptionist could have smiled at least once, felt like it was a chore giving us the directions of where to park. I know she would have had to tell everyone that walks through the door which can I appreciate be tedious, however if you’re in customer service you need to at least pretend you want to be there. Apart from that, we had a really good stay and would definitely recommend

Lovely room with extra large bed and lots of space plus extras ie fridge, coffee machine, safe. Clean room & bathroom but the odd small cobweb on the ceiling.

Another lovely stay at the royal.room was brill with a smashing view ( thank you ). staff and amenities were top class as always.we look forward to our next visit.

Staff were excellent. After an issue with our girst room we were given a replacement room of equal standard with no troubke at all.

Do not book this hotel !!!!! Room was horrendous I have stopped in some poor hotels in past but this is by far the worst chewing gum stuck on bathroom floor bins not emptied mould all over , we had a baby with us and wouldn’t stay in this so had to travel back home !!!

Absolute filth 🙈 Wouldnt recommend staying here at all and will never stay again. Complained about the state of our room (bed dirty, damp and the kettle with black bits inside) took over an hour for someone to go up and sort what they could. Was told there was no other rooms however when looking online there was rooms. Spoke to multiple other guests who had the same and had moved to 1 - 3 different rooms. Cleaners want sacking. They make it look tidy but dont actually clean. Entertainment was 30mins long and that was your lot. 🙈 all the floors are slanted and not level. Needs a massive renovation to be honest. First hotel i have ever been to where the receptionist doesnt asks how your stay was or says they hope you enjoyed your stay, which says it all to me. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

The entry and main hall was just beautiful, I even took pictures so beautiful it was. I would not mind the room was old, u could see where the water was leaked in, but crumbs on the floor everywhere even hallway and smushed mirror and cobweb on the sealing, no thank u. Chair dirty from some coffee or milk spill didn’t leave good impression. Again, didn’t mind old fashion room, I very much liked it but the dirt, that was shame for the hotel. As in room so in hallways.

Loved the room , we had stayed in it before and it has been upgraded and was lovely and warm. The breakfast was good , a really good choice on the buffet. The staff were lovely and helpful.

We were upgraded to 2 great rooms, staff are great and rooms were clean, love coming here, been a few times.thanks to the hotel.

The room was out dated and in need of a little TLC, my room was big a double bed, toilet and bath/shower the only other i would complain about was tje radiators stayed on most of tue night, not everyone feels the cold
