We stayed at Le Westin Montréal during the first week of May and had a really positive experience overall.
Arrival was the only rough patch — we hit peak evening rush hour, and despite being very close to the hotel, it took about 15 minutes just to reach the entrance due to heavy gridlock. Not the hotel’s fault, but something to be aware of if you’re arriving at a busy time.
Once we pulled up, everything improved immediately. The valet team was excellent — warm, efficient, and especially kind and engaging with our toddler. They had a cart ready and made unloading seamless.
Check-in was quick and smooth since we completed it online in advance. Within minutes, we were in our room. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-suited for a family — we had two beds and plenty of space, no issues at all.
We used the pool and wellness area daily, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our stay. The space includes a pool, cold plunge, hot tub, sauna, and comfortable seating with towels readily available. The sauna stood out — properly hot and a great feature. The area was calm, not overcrowded, and very enjoyable.
That said, accessibility to the pool area could be improved. Navigating doors with a stroller was a bit difficult, and there were steps without a ramp (despite what looked like space for one). For families or anyone with mobility needs, this is an area the hotel should address.
Location-wise, it’s excellent — walking distance to the Old Port, shopping, and plenty of dining options, making it very convenient for exploring the city.
Nice added touches included complimentary bottled water at the entrance and a refill station in the gym, which was useful since we brought our own bottles. One suggestion: shift away from single-use plastic bottles and provide refillable bottles for guests — a small change with real environmental impact.
Overall, a great stay. Comfortable, well-located, family-friendly, and with standout service from the valet team. I would definitely recommend it.
