The service at this hotel was exquisite and I am working in the industry and traveling a lot, staying at a lot of hotels. From the restaurant to the managers they took care of all the requests with speed and efficiency. The location is great, right in the center of Montreal. The rooms are very spacious, the beds very comfortable and the bathroom large. Everything is new. Breakfast was very tasty and the staff always ready to assist. Thank you, you made our stay in Montreal really exceptional.

I’m a Marriott Bonvoy member, and my entire family has stayed with Marriott properties for years. That loyalty is exactly why this experience felt so demoralizing and embarrassing. I was traveling with a 97-year-old colleague and friend, and I contacted the hotel two weeks in advance to clearly explain that we would need extra assistance. Despite that notice, Marriott did essentially nothing to prepare or to support us once we arrived. From the moment we pulled up, we were treated as if we didn’t exist. The valet and front entrance staff repeatedly failed to acknowledge us or offer help. I was left holding my 97-year-old companion’s arm while managing two suitcases, trying to navigate doors and the lobby on my own. Occasionally someone would appear at the door, but most of the time it was just the two of us juggling everything. It was humiliating, and completely avoidable given I had warned the hotel in advance. The lack of care continued throughout the stay. When I called to have room service dishes collected, I was spoken to rudely and told to put everything outside the door myself—even after I explained I could not safely manage that while also caring for an elderly guest. Our room was never cleaned for the entire stay, even after an initial interaction with housekeeping. We also did not receive fresh towels despite requesting them. It was obvious that the accessibility/support needs I sent in writing ahead of time were never communicated to the relevant teams. On top of that, the Wi-Fi was unreliable. I reported the issue immediately, was told someone would follow up, and no one did. When I called again the next day, I spent roughly 40 minutes troubleshooting, only to have reliable Wi-Fi for about one day. Traveling with someone of this age requires patience, planning, and basic human compassion. What we experienced instead was disregard. Given how thoroughly the property failed to provide the most basic service—despite my outreach two weeks ahead of time—I am seeking a full refund. I would not recommend this property to anyone traveling with elderly relatives or anyone who needs accommodations or extra support.

We stayed at Le Westin Montréal during the first week of May and had a really positive experience overall. Arrival was the only rough patch — we hit peak evening rush hour, and despite being very close to the hotel, it took about 15 minutes just to reach the entrance due to heavy gridlock. Not the hotel’s fault, but something to be aware of if you’re arriving at a busy time. Once we pulled up, everything improved immediately. The valet team was excellent — warm, efficient, and especially kind and engaging with our toddler. They had a cart ready and made unloading seamless. Check-in was quick and smooth since we completed it online in advance. Within minutes, we were in our room. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-suited for a family — we had two beds and plenty of space, no issues at all. We used the pool and wellness area daily, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our stay. The space includes a pool, cold plunge, hot tub, sauna, and comfortable seating with towels readily available. The sauna stood out — properly hot and a great feature. The area was calm, not overcrowded, and very enjoyable. That said, accessibility to the pool area could be improved. Navigating doors with a stroller was a bit difficult, and there were steps without a ramp (despite what looked like space for one). For families or anyone with mobility needs, this is an area the hotel should address. Location-wise, it’s excellent — walking distance to the Old Port, shopping, and plenty of dining options, making it very convenient for exploring the city. Nice added touches included complimentary bottled water at the entrance and a refill station in the gym, which was useful since we brought our own bottles. One suggestion: shift away from single-use plastic bottles and provide refillable bottles for guests — a small change with real environmental impact. Overall, a great stay. Comfortable, well-located, family-friendly, and with standout service from the valet team. I would definitely recommend it.

Location was great, all the staff were amazing; from the vallets, front desk were helpful, getting a second robe was so quick. Rooms were clean, elevators clean and ran smoothly. The staff at the restaurant were so great! Very friendly, efficient and gave great suggestions to explore the night life. The pool temperature was so cold, the hot tub felt like a tepid bath, it was clean, a little overcrowded ( to be expected) I wish it was just a little warmer for all the temperatures in the sauna, pool & hot tub.

Sebastian at reception was so helpful when I lost my two jackets in the room. I was already checked out and was worried if someone took it, but he kindly went himself to find it for me from housekeeping. I originally went to the concierge, and they did assist me professionally but they were not as helpful as he was. Thanks Sebestian!
