It is a nice hotel but greater effort needs placed on maintenance. The room I was in had a quite wobbly table and one of the cupboard doors didn't close properly. There was a flashing light in the bathroom and the television remote didn't seem to work. The room also smelled of cigarettes despite being on a non smoking floor.

The hotel over all is average, the from desk gave us a standard room when I paid for superior. Adding to that The room was filthy and the curtains were coming off , I definitely do not recommend.

Dirty, poorly managed and the staff are unfriendly. I felt I was staying in a shelter. Really disappointed! I will never ever book a night in that place.

Absolutely awful experience staying at this hotel. It is NOT 4 star more like -1 star. See photos of the room I stayed in. There was one worn out towel in the bathroom after calling 5 times house keeping eventually brought one more towel. Called room service for in room dining after multiple calls our meal arrived 1 hour later. Very strong smell of paint in the room. No curtains and dirty stains everywhere- see pictures. Won’t be staying here again!!

Rooms are very old and not comfortable. Property from outside looks good. From inside it's not good. No air conditioning, as hotel staff says it's winter. I had to open window which was noisy and sleep with minimal cloths as it was hot inside. Breakfast no food is available if you are not early. i will rather not stay with Mercure hotel in future but in other countries it's not that bad. 😞

Convenient to transfer to airport. No restaurant choice

The shower was terrible. We changed rooms, the second room was just as bad. All of the shower heads were blocked with lime and dirt. Rough hotel. Needs updated

This hotel shows no attention to the customer and prefer to lose a customer rather than changing a reservation date. Will never book this hotel again because of this poor customer service.

My stay at Mercure was exceptional. The staff made me feel right at home. I stay at this hotel every time I am in Algiers and are on a first name basis with a lot of the team. Sure there are some quirks that are typically dealt with immediately, but overall I have 0 complaints. I will certainly continue to make this my number one choice when I am staying in the area.

I made this booking last minute due to a flight change. I was going to land around midnight and I tried calling to confirm airport shuttle and late check-in. Nobody picked up when I called the number supplied with my booking. I searched online and found an alternative number. The lady who picked up was extremely unhelpful and hang-up on me because she could not hear me well. I was speechless to say the least. I asked somebody else to call them and finally got a mobile number to call the shuttle driver although getting in touch with the hotel after landing was just as difficult! Things got better after arrival at the hotel. Check-in was speedy and Ayoub at reception was very helpful. The room was vintage and clean. Check-out the next morning was speedy and staff were efficient too. For a 4-star hotel, you would expect better service so it was a shame.
