The directions were accurate, the check in was efficient and friendly and there was sufficient secure, free parking.
The room was a little smaller than we expected but perfectly adequate and it did have two easy chairs. It was equipped with everything you would expect in a BW hotel and also a Nespresso machine. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean and in good condition. The breakfast was good but the buffet was slow in being replenished and there are simply too many tables & chairs in the space.
It could have got 5* however a couple of things let it down. The separate toilet, although basically clean, was badly stained around the U bend which was surprising in such a recently constructed hotel and stood out from the good condition of the rest of the sanitary ware. There was also the remains of a mosquito smeared across the wall which had obviously eaten well judging by the amount of blood. The tea and coffee was not replenished the next day so the two Nespresso pods we used the first day were it. Likewise the teabags and there was no milk whatsoever. The "Bio" roof was a nice "green" touch but the outside area was very neglected and as for the spar pool...see the photo!
I would certainly recommend it and would happily stay there again (but bring some milk and tea bags!) due to its lovely, calm location with good riverside walks, friendly staff and the fantastic gastronomic restaurant next door. It just needs a little more attention to detail and checking.
