The restaurant or bar food was fantastic, highly rated! DIY breakfast was great for me as 5 am starts and late finishes. Great price

Have been staying here a few days a week with work over these past 3 months. Stayed in many of the rooms, ate, drank, was merry, and also shared the disappointment of an English World Cup semi final in their beer garden. Apart from the Willow Tree Birds having a fondness for pooping on my car, and the odd thing not replenished by housekeeping at times, my stays have been nothing short of fantastic. Having the microwave, fridge and utensils in room is an added bonus. Duncan, a pleasure frequenting your establishment. I hope events bring me nearby so that I may stay again 🙏

Excellent stay here , Rooms are Clean and Bright. Parking avaialble at the front of the Hotel. Food was excellent and real Value for money. 2 choices for how you take breakfast , Continetal which is povided in the room in a little kitchenette area with toaster, microwave, fridge ect. or you can book and have a full english in the main resteraunt. well recommeded. *****

A little unconventional. Check-in was done by text with instructions how to get to our room which was not connected to the main building. The key to the room was in a secure box. Having said that the room was spacious, sadly not the bathroom. A cooked breakfast is not included in the price, however, cereals, bread, milk, etc. were available and there is a fridge and a microwave should you wish to bring your own food. It was a comfortable stay.

Staff were very helpful even found me an iron as we were going to a family wedding. The rooms were clean and tidy, and comfy bed. They thought of everything yoghurts, butter, bread milk, juice, cereal if you require an early start. Otherwise a beautifully cooked English breakfast by Duncan all fresh produce and tea or coffee. Would deffo stay there again👍

What a lovely sanctuary. We were well looked after. We had a calm comfortable room with all that we needed. The people were friendly and welcoming. Easy to access free parking. Thank you.

Having the fridge and DIY breakfast is ideal if you have a very early start which I did.

As ever the room, amenities, bar, food and service were very good. Do think my car has become somewhat of an attraction to the local pigeons who feel the need to make a mess almost daily but not sure the hotel can be held responsible for that! Will be back soon!

I arrived after the pub was shut, but the check in instructions I received were top notch and getting into my room was really straight forward. The room was immaculate, everything was spotless and smelt lovely. A really decent sized room and great amenities. The DIY breakfast in the room was inspired, and very generous. The bed was super comfy, lovely pillows and plenty of them, the location was fabulously quiet and I slept really well. The only issue I had was that there was no hot water in the shower but I got creative and made do with the hot tap and a jug! The towels were huge, fluffy and wonderfully warm from the heated towel rail so it wasn’t so bad. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Rooms are spacious with a comfy bed, decent shower, and a plentiful in room breakfast with a fridge which comes in useful. Staff are very good indeed and evening meals were excellent. Will be returning.

We’ve stayed here previously albeit in a different room Pleased with the room -there’s a radiator & an electric heater if needed. I did think bed linen needed ironing & I dropped something under the bed & not sure it had been hoovered in a while -fluff & bits Think the breakfast items in the room are a good idea. We didn’t have milk last time so took some with us this time & milk was already in the fridge. There’s a selection of cereals, yoghurts & fruit juice or a full breakfast can be taken in the pub The pub does very good food & huge portions You can hear when next room using water but room is quiet on the whole Check in is easy as you’re contacted before & told keys are in the key safe with code given Would we book again -definitely

10 out of 10 for everything. Spacious family room, clean, well lit, comfy beds, great pillows. Bathroom small but excellent - good hot shower, clean mastic round shower tray, clean grouting. Great breakfast and evening meal. Really there is nothing to fault - Really would like another reason to go and stay.
