FOUND HOTEL TO BE QUAINT & A PLEASANT, UNIQUE PLACE TO STAY. VERY COMFORTABLE ROOM WITH GOOD FACILITIES. DID NOT NEED TO INTERACT WITH STAFF.

I don't usually write negative hotel reviews, especially after a one-night stay, but after spending four nights at Broadfield Park Hotel in Rochdale, I feel it's important to share my experience. My husband and I were initially given a room with a very odd layout, where the TV was positioned away from the bed, making it uncomfortable to watch. Reception advised us to return the next morning, and to their credit, we were offered a choice of alternative rooms. Unfortunately, the second room had extremely poor shower pressure throughout our stay, with the water sometimes coming out in little more than droplets. Despite reporting the issue, it continued. Housekeeping was virtually non-existent. During our four-night stay, our towels were never changed, the bed was never made, the bin was never emptied, and toiletries and toilet roll were not replenished. The mattresses in both rooms were very worn and uncomfortable, leaving both of us with aches and pains. The hotel feels dated and in need of refurbishment and, in my opinion, does not meet the standard expected of a three-star hotel. There were also occasions when reception was unattended. At one point, I had to find a member of staff elsewhere in the hotel to locate the receptionist, while another guest was waiting to check out. The only positives were the convenient location, free parking, and an acceptable breakfast with a halal option available.

Really pleasant and helpful staff. Great breakfast and very helpful when enquiring about gluten free options. Great price for our stay. However, the hotel has seen better days. In need of a refurbishment. Tired fixings and fittings. The worst was the mattress. Well past its life. Although clean, it provided no support at all. The springs are so weak, I felt the hard bed base through the mattress. The bathroom sink plug didn't hold water. Bathroom light was so dim as was the shaving mirror, I had to use my phone's torch to shave. The TV remote was not compatible with the TV in the room and did not work. TV in need of updates, which require the proper remote. Channels available were very limited. The TV was difficult to operate with no remote and one function button on the TV itself. This could be a beautiful hotel if it received the proper maintenance and updated fittings and fixtures. New mattress urgently.

This hotel is a victoria aged building with impressive architecture. It beats Premier Inn and Travel Lodge prices with free parking and free breakfast, from limited menu plus tea,coffee and orange juice, free WiFi and hotel TV plan offers extra free stations to plow through. BBC I PLAYER AND NETFLIX ect.. Both my wife and I enjoyed our five night stay

Too warm in room, window didn’t open that far and the fan was useless! Very uncomfortable nights sleepover

Nice hotel however it would have been good to have fresh coffee for breakfast rather than coffee packets but room was nice and was comfortable

Very grubby and needs a lot of work just to get to a n average standard. TV didn't work in room and no evening food anymore however website still advertised restaurant open. Breakfast cheap and tasteless produce.

Mattress on the bed was ruined, no springs at all, asked to move room and was given a new room very quickly. Mattress was the same condition. Church bells ringing all evening which I’m shocked no one has mentioned in the reviews and there’s no mention of this when booking. Bathroom floor tiles were broke, another layer had been laid on top of broken floor which were also broke. Very poor room overall, will never stay here again - worst nights sleep I’ve ever had

Nice hotel I would use again

we wanted somewhere for an overnight stay after flying back from Greece to Manchester before driving back to the north east. I'll start with the pros. beds were clean and very comfy. tea/facilities in the room were welcome. staff lovely. good and safe parking. very quiet hotel. breakfast was delicious and just what we needed before a 2 hour plus journey. 5 minutes walk to wetherspoons where we went for tea and couple of drinks. cons. yes it was a little dirty in places ie main passageways etc. new flooring, some decor etc will make it a lovely place. a bit nippy because the heating was off. we paid £120 for 2 adults and a child for a room and lovely breakfast.. we wouldn't hesitate to return if we fly from Manchester again. you expect 5 star you'll pay 5 star prices. Thanks ☺️

The shower I’m both rooms was not good one of them wasn’t even a shower it was for something else an the next one was really hot and you couldn’t make it cooler

The hotel is a little dated but its very clean, the staff are great and its great value for money

The park was just in front of the hotel,Very clean and beautiful. The staffs were very friendly. Breakfast was very very nice 👍. We'll Sure visit again

Hotel could do with some TLC but room was clean, and breakfast was lovely
