Hotel was small but felt more like staying in someone's home instead of a commercial enterprise. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Everything (including the Acropolis) was within easy walking distance.

Property location was walkable to shopping and food. Room was adequate as most time was not spent in the room anyway. Room had a/c. Simple breakfast provided daily. Staff was friendly.

If your goal is ease of walking around the Plaka neighborhood, Syntagma Square/Parliament, and the Acropolis, Nefeli is an excellent choice. Great central location near everything you want but just off the tourist streets, in a quieter neighborhood. (Tricky access by car, however!) Rooms were basic and comfortable. Price was great, considering the fantastic location. Other hotels in the neighborhood are all $40+ more expensive. There is a parking garage a few buildings away; street parking near the hotel is unlikely given the tight, old city streets. For travelers with no car, this hotel is ideal. Desk clerks were mainly helpful, some extremely so! Breakfast was a bit disappointing, given the huge spread most Greek hotels offer, but adequate. I would go back on future trips to Athens.

This place is in a prime location in Plaka, short walk to tons of shops and restaurants. My only feedback is that the website did not show pictures of the restroom which had a few design issues. The shower and curtain did not hold water so the bathroom Would get very wet when you shower, it was also very narrow so shaving my legs was difficult. Because of all this the plumbing suffered and there was a distinct smell, not overwhelming but there. I grew up traveling to Mexico often so none of this was a huge deal for me. I also loved the free breakfast each morning. The good still outweighs the bad

The hotel is lovely! Rooms were v. clean, breakfast was nice. The neighborhood can sometimes get a bit loud, but hey, that's part of city life anywhere.

Nefeli is exactly the sort of hotel I enjoy staying in. Very reasonably priced, well located for access to key attractions. It's not lavish by any means, but it's clean and has everything I needed and wanted, including the most steady and reliable hotel Internet I've ever encountered. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Simple hotel with simple bfast. Tv not working and room cleaned about 2 days once and a little noise at night

We had a good experience staying at this hotel. It has an ideal location—walking distance from basically all of the attractions you might want to see, small grocery store next door to easily buy drinks/snacks for the day while out and about, and close by to many other restaurants. The people that run the hotel are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They serve breakfast which was also very good. The room itself is very modest, not fancy, but if you’re just looking for a place to sleep while you explore all day it’s perfect for that so it worked well for us. I will say that the shower is very small, it was hard for us to wash without accidentally shutting the water off, changing the temperature, or spraying water outside the shower, but it’s still sufficient for all we needed. Our room had ants in it, which was not great, but they didn’t bother us enough for us to say anything about them. Overall, the location and service was great, besides the ants our room was very clean and the neighborhood felt safe. If we came back to Athens we’d definitely stay here again.

This was my third summer of staying at the Nefeli Hotel, and I will always go back. It offers an honest and old world charm. I love the location, on one of the prettiest and quietest streets in the Plaka. The Angelika Chatzimihalli Museum just a few doors down is my favorite museum in Athens, devoted to Greek traditions, crafts, and customs. The staff at the Nefeli are superb - kind, helpful, friendly.

Nice budget hotel in the Plaka district . Great location and very helpful staff . Comfortable bed , A/C , clean bathroom . Very good value for money .
