First, the hotel location could not be more convenient to the Cathedral. That was awesome. The hotel was very special and very nice. The staff were all incredibly nice and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel if you stay in Santiago de Compostela .

When are arrived at the door the doormen opened the door. They carried our cases. The reception staff were very helpful. The room was really nice and traditional just as expected and spotless. We went to the bar after being in the city and had cocktails. The best cocktails we’d had. Everything was perfect and we will come back next year.

This is an amazing historic property. The location is unbeatable, just besides the Cathedral. The refurbished rooms (not sure if all are) are wonderful and ample and the patios are just oasis of peace with awe inspiring views. Be sure to stay here and spend some time T the property. Excellent breakfast with mix of buffet and à la carte items. Only problem was the air conditioning that did not work well, in a hot summer. Water pressure was excellent, not a given in an historic building. Staff was excellent, we absolutely recommend this Parador, not only a stay but a truly remarkable experience.

Imagine staying in a 5-star hotel that was originally a medieval hospital- soaring gothic arches around 4 delightful courtyard gardens, amazing food and service, outstanding buffet breakfast

Breakfast v busy and therefore not very enjoyable. Dining room for evening was beautiful atmosphere but food was not great. Bar area was very good.

At the end of your Camino journey, you want to splurge and book this hotel. Not only are the grounds beautiful and the location beside the Cathedral ideal, but luxuriating in a bath and having coffee and tea amenities in the room glorious after the long walk. The breakfast buffet was exceptional. Highly recommend!

Amazing parador next to the cathedral. Very luxurious and amazing to stay in a historic building right in the centre. The breakfast buffet is sensational with the highlight being the huge variety of fruit!

Beautiful space absolutely with a Great breakfast too . Room was pleasant - although bed overly firm and the two pillows on my bed were super flat . Plaster in room could use some maintenance. Bathroom was surprisingly small ( room 119 ) with a shower tub combination that leaked a bit when shower was used

The Parador Properties are absolutely wonderful. Every one I’ve stayed, Santiago, Pontevedra, Baiona were all extraordinary and well priced. The properties are out of this world and have all the amenities a visitor would need. Loved every second of my stays.

Extremely dirty carpets everywhere, imagine the rest. Carpets has tons of visible stains.

Excellent location! Lots of history in this building. Comfortable beds. Great restaurant, breakfast and bar. Staff very attentive. Room is huge, would benefit from extra lighting in the closet area. Beautiful hotel.

They are going thru renovations. Our room was very noisy.

Our stay after walking the Camino de Santiago couldn’t have been better - everything was perfect!

We finished walking The Camino in Santiago and decided to treat ourselves to a night at this Parador, It was a great call! The hotel is magnificent. Fabulous location. Great staff. Room was just perfect (and it had a bath which was heaven after walking 23km!). Bed was wonderfully comfortable. We had supper in the hotel restaurant which was a delight and well priced. The hotel is the most amazing building and you could spend hours just wandering around it, admiring the architecture. Breakfast in the morning was also really good. The only complaint - we kept getting lost as its a maze and there were some renovations going on. Overall a fabulous stay and we wish we had stayed two nights rather than just the one!

The hotel is beautiful but there was no AC during our visit and if you opened the window there was alot of noise from the trash workers.
