This review is for the restaurant only. Average food overall. I recommend the Canarian cheese plate. The starting bread is also quite good. Fyi, They will offer the bread and charge around 2.25€/pp on the final bill. The pumpkin soup is quite bland and watery. There are nice views of the mountain to be enjoyed while eating. It's convenient to make dinner reservations in advance online. Finally, the womens toilet near the front desk are not that clean with multiple roaches to be found.

I find it honestly shocking how this place manages essential services in a public natural park. This is the only facility in the area, located in a remote part of Teide National Park where mobile signal is almost nonexistent. Yet, instead of providing basic support to visitors, they treat water, restrooms, and Wi-Fi as luxury privileges. Wi-Fi is available — but only for guests staying in rooms. Even paying customers at the bar or restaurant are denied access. In a place where people literally cannot communicate due to lack of signal, refusing Wi-Fi (even as a paid service) is simply unacceptable and makes no sense. The restroom situation is just as disappointing: you are forced to pay €1 or make a purchase. This goes completely against the spirit of mountain refuges, which traditionally offer at least basic facilities — often including free access to water. Here, you can’t even enter to refill a bottle without paying. That’s not just unfriendly, it’s exploitative given the context. Everything seems designed to push you into spending money. And unfortunately, what you get in return is very poor: no real kitchen, no fresh food, just low-quality frozen products. This place operates like a monopoly in a public park and clearly takes advantage of it. My advice: bring your own food and water and avoid spending money here.

A classic stop during a bike ride, perfect for a quick snack and a drink. The location itself is well-known and worth visiting, especially considering it’s a regular stop for professional cyclists, which adds a certain appeal. That said, the self-service can be quite slow, particularly during busier times, and the prices are noticeably high for what is offered. Overall, it’s a place you stop at more for the atmosphere and its reputation than for efficiency or value, but still worth experiencing at least once during a ride.

Visited 30th January 2026. First and most important, Beautiful located. Parking spots are available but limited. Public buses available during the day. We travelled from La Christiano to the hotel. And went to La laguna around 15:00ish. Dinner and breakfast can be arranged at the Hotel’s in-house restaurant. Next to the hotel, is a small museum (can be entered free of cost). Indoor pool and gym can be used (towels will be provided). Staff handling the dinner service was amazing. However, staff managing the breakfast service the next morning can try to be little bit more pleasant and cheerful. Room was good, but after one flush - water did not stop flowing so had to ask for service and it got fixed quickly. Overall, a nice stay.

This is all about the fantastic location - the only place you can stay in the immediate area, and that's worthwhile in itself. BUT... this was a very disappointing experience vs all of the other Paradores I have ever stayed at. Interior very dated. Service friendly but erratic or even unavailable (perhaps overwhelmed by attending to the needs of the pro cycling team that were staying). Food downright disappointing (e.g. of Tortilla Espanola seasoned with sugar instead of salt...). Overall more like staying in a mid-range ski hotel than a Parador. Rooms and food poor value. Needs to raise its game.
