Clean and comfortable room, a little outdated and in need of an overhaul. Quite expensive for Hungarian prices, but would stay there again. No complaints. They also handled an infestation of moths that had arrived through what I thought was a closed window very rapidly!

Location

Location was good but the private strand wasn’t comfortable. There were no sun beds available for to use, had to rent them which is bad! Should be provided! The restaurant was crowded hard to find tables anytime!

They were very kind to me when the airline lost my luggage.

Good hotel, buffet breakfast and dinner included. With inside and outside pools.

The hotel is a little old - but totally comfortable, great pool, great food, and the best location close to everything! Definitely recommend!!

A great stay. Wonderful pool and perfect location.

Perfect location--best in Balatonfüred! A few steps away from EVERYTHING. We were concerned about the age and condition of the hotel. But, all things considered (this was our 5th place to try in Balatonfüred), this could possibly be the best lodging we have had in 'Füred.

The hotel is older but it is kept up nicely. The staff is always smiling and very helpful. The lake is great to relax and get refreshed.

Awful, awful hotel. Built in the 60's and not updated since. If you are expecting a 3* stay, then forget it. I will be contacting Hotels.com for a partial refund, as the price we paid for this hotel was far too expensive. Look elsewhere if you are considering staying in Balatonfured

The hotel itself is very well located and has very nice private beach. Hotel staff is professional and very nice to the guests. But must sayI was very surpised by room conditions in comparison of price we have paid, no air con, bathroom got frozen in 70's, very uncomfortable, temperature of the water isn't stable, especially in the morning - it is either hot or cold nothing between. Further more, the temperature of the swimming pool was kind of joke, which you wouldn not expect. Very very very cold. My little son is in love in water and he would jump in it without hesitation, but even he rejected to go there due to the temperature. Therefore, I would strongly recommend the hotel management to do something whith this well located hotel. In this location you have or will have a lot of competitors if you stay "as is".

In reception the lady's are friendly but the boss it's terrible angry with the world i pay for a good room but the don't have a air conditioner in summer it's impossible sleep

Old fashioned hotel in a very good location. Room furniture a bit old, i think it is a bit overpriced. Breakfast and dinner was OK. It has a private pool.

Hotel is very well situated. Very good buffet breakfast and diner. Swimming pool area clean and well maintained. Hotel beach easy accessible. Room was clean and comfortable. Good Wi-Fi reception. Tv channel selection below par.

The hotel was very efficient with many coach visitors. The superior room lacked tea & coffee as well as basic toiletries. Shower gel was in a wall dispenser. My reason for the lower comfort marking was because there was no central heating despite outside temp. However when I complained an efficient portable heater was swiftly provided.

It was a great place. Good service. friendly staff, good food, good organization, good location, close to the beach. The chairs at the beach could have been free. The whole place is clean, organized, nice walks, quietness, civility. O good place to rest and be quiet.

The hotel was excellent, but the wifi is only available in the main lobby, and this is not very convenient. I hope this can be improved soon as more and more people are needing wifi on the road.

Good train service for visitors without cars. It was hot when I was there, and the air conditioning in my room was excellent and much appreciated. My room rate included buffet dinner, with a number of Hungarian items available, which I enjoyed a lot. Beverages (other than water) weren't included; there were plenty of waiters to bring me beer promptly, and the price was very reasonable. There are (amplified) street musicians performing out on the promenade, and evening bar performers in the hotel itself, so light sleepers like me will use earplugs and be OK.

This is a huge retro hotel from the Hungarian socialist era. Amazing dining hall, 1960 style. Standard rooms are basic, very comfortable, great view of Balaton. Bathroom fixtures are 40-50 years old... we loved them. I just hope that management won't "modernize" this place... It has a "club med" or young socialist pioneer camp feel to the place. Fantastic pool, private beach, breakfast and dinner (all-you-can-eat) included. Great staff...
