Kanderstag is a great place for hiking. Hotel 4 minute walk from station. Beds very comfortable, room had a nice balcony

Beautiful view from our room, This is a dated hotel, in a very beautiful spot. Has a nice pool, no hot tub, Sauna available upon request with 1 hour reservation. In our room it was a slight challenge to get in and out of the large tub to shower. Not ideal but it worked. Large windows and door that opened to a small deck.

Had a good stay here, the hotel is nice and the staff friendly, however needs a bit of upgrading. A couple of things in the room were not up to standard (plug socket not working, no kettle). Also breakfast is extra (20 CHF I think) I know it is becoming common for hotels to charge for breakfast, but it should be included.

The staff were friendly and the accommodations were great. We would recommend it aa hope to stay there again our selves.

The property was easy to get to from the train station. Is was very charming and the staff was very friendly.

Very nice hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. Love the convenience of the grocery store as well as the proximity to the cable car to Oeschinensee. Very nice restaurant on site. They also have fantastic jacuzzi tubs that rotate to the outside for an indoor-outdoor hot tub experience. Our room had a round bed!

Very convenient location for both bus and train connections. Room decent size and great to have a balcony. The Internet did not work at all although they tried to fix it, important everywhere these days especially if you do not have inclusive EU roaming packages. No kettle or any coffee machine is provided in the rooms.

We absolutely loved our stay! It is the perfect location for exploration. The hotel is incredibly clean and the food is delicious. The breakfast offered tons of yummy options. We chose to have dinner there as well and it was also amazing. Definitely order the Apple strudel dessert! Very friendly staff as well.

Food was amazing. View from the room was fantastic. Hot tube was the bonus after a long hike I didn't know we needed. Overall it was a fun experience. Sound does travel

Lovely historic hotel, full of atmosphere, great location (near the train station, beautiful mountain view), comfortable bed (not too soft). Staff was very helpful whenever needed. Price was fair. Some guests told us they return yearly, and I can well understand why.

The room had other guest’s belongings left behind, the flooring was missing under the bed. no screen on the windows so bugs and mosquitoes got in the room through the closed curtains...

The town is absolutely beautiful, and the hotel is beautiful from the outside, but the beds are shockingly bad and in need of upgrading. I couldn't actually sleep on the bed, instead I decided to sleep on the couch. Also there is a horrible smell in the room and on the bed linen, it smelled like rotten food. Also check in at 4pm is inconvenient.

Amazing staff at the hotel, great variety of food at the restaurant, especially the cheese fondue! The room was spacious, clean with a mountain view. Really close to the Kandersteg train station as well! There is nothing bad about this hotel!

The stay was great, the view was amazing and the shower was awesome. Staff was incredible, no issue with a language barrier and extremely helpful.
