Good location, friendly staff. Bed a little hard. Bathroom outdated. Shower slippery even with paper floor cover. Not enough electric plugs near the bed. Good window blackout curtains.

Hotel is well located as you can walk up the hill to the pretty old town. We parked on the street outside which was very easy and only €6.50 for the day. The hotel has quite a “corporate “ feel to it but it was functional for our 1 night stay.

Our stay was great & restful. Food choices & places to eat were limited, otherwise perfect stay🙏

We loved the town of Peniscola and found this property to be the best in the area. It was clean and comfortable for a one night stay

Very close to ocean and nice restaurants

Horrendous hotel, looks fresh from the outside and from the lobby however rooms are old beds made of rocks. Bathroom with a shower that you can’t adjust the shower head so after a shower the bathroom turns into a pool since the shower had no curtains. Mini bar empty except one small bottle of water! Given the price we paid we feel absolutely cheated. The only positive thing were the staff that were friendly.

My wife, adult daughter and I decided to spend a night at Peniscola enroute from Valencia to Tortosa to see its 13th century Templar fortress located in a spectacular setting at the top of a steep peninsula almost completely surrounded by the Mediterranean. We booked two adjoining rooms at the Hotel RH Don Carlos with balconies offering views of the castle and old city and we were very glad we did, as the staff at the hotel were welcoming and helpful, the rooms were excellent value, the breakfast was quite good and the hotel, itself, was within walking distance of the castle and close to the town’s long and beautiful beaches. Although our stay was only two days before Christmas, the weather was sunny and surprisingly warm. As well, Peniscola offers a number of seafood-oriented restaurants, one of which we dined in after exploring the old city (the hotel also has a restaurant which we would have tried if our stay were longer). Our walk back to the hotel after dark along the beachside esplanade was well lit and offered beautiful views of the castle in the distance framed by sand and palm trees. Since Peniscola and the hotel would probably be quite crowded during the summer, I would recommend visiting from late September until early May, if possible.

Great hotel - very comfortable beds and fab location to historic old town and the contemporary arts/theatres and huge park. Breakfast though could be improved with more cooked eggs selection (only boiled eggs)!

Never got to stay at the hotel as they phoned on the morning of our check in to say there was a problem with our room!!!! They moved us to another hotel 3 km down the beach. They said it was the same standard- NO WAY!!! We were VERY UNHAPPY but it was too late to find anywhere else. Will NEVER stay at this group of hotels again.
