Giving this a 3 because the air conditioner didn’t work and staff only gave us a bottle of cold water. This is an important issue during warmer times and it disturbed our sleep. Other than that, a fun hotel very walkable to the waterfront, station, Grand Piazza. Bus to Ascona is right outside and free with Ticino visitor card. Satisfying breakfast. A good Ibis hotel.

Everything was prefect except for the parking which was too expensive

The check in was in the middle of the restaurant area and very hard to find. I stayed 4 nights and it was on the 3rd day I could walk into the right door and find the lift without too much trouble. There is no signage for the front door, no direction to the reception desk, and no tourist information. I would not recommend this as my choice to stay in Locarno.

We were just one night. The hotel is good located, very close to the lake in the centre of Locarno. Friendly staff. The cinema rooms are nice and functional, great shower as well.

Die Mitarbeiter an der Reception waren freundlich, unkompliziert und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war schön, modern, ruhig, praktisch und bequem. Habe sehr gut geschlafen. Die Lage ist genial und sehr zentral. Alles ist zu Fuss erreichbar. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis fand ich auch gut. Einziger Nachteil: Der Wasserdruck der Duschbrause war relativ schwach und das Wasser in der Dusche lief zu langsam ab. Ansonsten habe ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Komme gerne wieder.

The location is on residential area of Locarno but easy walk to lake or train station. Not much stores nearby. Room is small as most ibis hotels but this bathroom is roomy and bright. Glad with A/C in room and elevator for luggage!
