The whole place was pretty tired and in need of a good redecoration. The room we had 204 was dated but the bed was clean. The bathroom had broken tiles on the floor and the shower area had mouldy patches. We did NOT use the shower. The bar area was ok snd the bar staff were friendly. The corridor leading to our room smelt of vomit, it was quite unpleasant. We decided not to eat breakfast there the next morning. The price was good and I didn’t expect it to be 5* but to be honest, I probably wouldn’t go back. Shame, good location and lots of potential.

Hotrl was functional but needs refurbishment. Strong smell in hallway, not sure of the cause but very off putting.

Unfortunately first impressions of this hotel were of a tired property in need of updating. The bar and restaurant appeared to be clean and well presented. We had a drink in the bar but did not use the restaurant. Bedrooms are a good size and the bed was comfortable. There was a kettle and tea/coffee available. We also had a small television. What really lets the room down was the dirty tired bathroom. The window blind in the bathroom was mouldy, the toilet was stained at the u bend. It didn’t look like it had ever been bleached. The shower was mouldy and needed a good deep clean. The bedroom carpet was also stained and needed a shampoo. The bedroom and bathroom windows were old metal frames which did not close properly. This made the room cold and draughty. Overall I think the accommodation needs investment to make it more attractive.

The property needs a face lift as do the rooms, but it was comfortable enough for one night. Annoying emergency green light above the door that shines straight through the room not making it dark to sleep well. Pillows not comfortable for me too flat

Nice clean room excellent staff

The property could definitely do with updating; a lick of paint wouldn't go amiss. However, I would describe the property as quirky. Parking limited but safe. Staff go above and beyond, very friendly and helpful. Food was very good. Overall 4 stars, just needs a bit of TLC.

The hotel was ideal for us as only 30 minutes or so to Goodwood. Good value accommodation. Very helpful staff and the Restaurant food was first rate. Also worth a mention was the Bar where the staff and clientele were so welcoming it reminded us of the bar in 'Cheers'!

Breakfast ordered was Sourdough toasted sandwich. Sourdough was hard and burnt

The Hotel is very dated, but acceptable due to the price. The area rates are quite expensive. It's very handy for me because i visit family close by. The Hotel has a well stocked bar and dining area with a good menu selection. This is the 2nd time i have stopped here and i would stop again. It has ample parking and is next door to the beautiful Devils Punch Bowl ideal for walkers.

Location great. Staff very helpful. Price very reasonable. The place could do with having a bit of money spent on it, but totally fine.

Staff were lovely but hotel rooms were very old and in need of some TLC. We were on the ground floor and the windows were not very secure! Bathroom in serious need of some updating but the actual shower head wasn’t too bad.

An emergency evacuation light in the bedroom meant that darkness could not be achieved. No body wash or shampoo provided (so make sure that you bring your own! A smell throughout the common areas of the hotel was not a nice experience.
