Overall, value good and location good for our short trip. Breakfast tasty. However: 1. Staff seemed disengaged and not customer focused. took 6 mins to pour a pint of guinness. Asked for an extra towel for which they had to be reminded twice and it took some significant time to obtain. 2. In need of significant upgrade, carpets grotty, Rooms malodorous, Bed so hard you could feel the springs through it- if your going in the near future decline room 0005. 3. Unexpected parking charge that we were not pre warned about. 4. Coffee at breakfast undrinkable 5. lots of debris on the lawn including cigarette bits and spoons that looked like they had been used for drug taking.

The £5 a night parking charge surprised me, perhaps I missed this when reading your website. Also, the barrier preventing me driving into the car park was down thus, I could not drive in. Apparently there is a 4-digit code to enter. Again, I don’t remember reading about that on your website. In any case, surely that 4-digit code should be texted or emailed to guests prior to their arrival. So, my initial impression of the hotel was not good. However, the room is excellent thanks to the wonderful Nadia and the young man on reception was amazingly brilliant! Great, great staff here!!!

Rang to cancel our reservation 48 hours before with no email or text to actually confirm this! Rang them 3 times and still waiting for a refund 2 weeks later! Stayed at the Ramada many times before this and now will stay elsewhere!

Absolutely disgusting customer service, having booked this weeks before our trip, we were called less than 24hrs before with them cancelling our reservation. They made false promises when I told them I was unhappy about it. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend that you book with this hotel just in case it happens to you too and then having to find a hotel at double the price in less than 24hrs.

If entering though the services (which I would think most people would do) a code is needed to open the barrier. This code was not supplied non a number to ring Ramada to get the code. Spent time looking on the internet to find a number. Can see that the barrier has been there a long time so it should been known that a code would be needed and supplied. Also after a long drive a drink at the bar would of been nice but was told the bar was not open.

One of the worst hotels we've stayed in in over 20 years business travel. We'd booked two triple rooms, one for 3 women and one for 3 men. The three men were given their room key and allowed to walk off to what turned out to be a double room with one double bed. Returning to reception we were told that they were full and that's all they had. After a lot of arguing we were given another 'complementary' twin. The room was PERISHINGLY cold - neither radiator nor portable heater worked. Asking reception if there was even another duvet in the hotel somewhere that we could have, we were given a very curt 'No! The hotel is full - i can't walk into another guests' room and take a duvet or heater off them'. Absolutely shocking service. We barely slept.
