When I was booking a hotel I asked not to turn on air conditioner. I checked in, entered my room - freezing! Air conditioner was ON, 62 degrees!! It's not such a difficult request!! Liked: location

Look this place isnt pretty it's an old building, the rooms are clean and the staff are kind. Its a great location and the jazz bar is pretty cool.

Great place for the price

The General Manager (Avi) and his staff offered exceptional service during our stay. It is not the Taj Mahal by any means, but the rooms are clean, the food is decent and if you enjoy live jazz music it is good value for the money. A great location to all kinds of amenities, parks and an easy 15 minute stroll to the Rogers Centre.

It was basic, good location

Basic essentials and great location on Queen street. Not a big fan of sharing a bathroom with other guests but it was ok for one night.

Just OK

Room is decently clean. The staffs were friendly and helpful. The bar/restaurant downstair is lowkey a vibe: live jazz music every night, and the food was quite alright too. The air conditioning is a little old, but with a small room, it did its job well. One thing to note is if you use too much amenities at once (lights on, AC on, hair dryer on) the power to your room might get cut off because the circuit overload.

Nice place in the centre of Toronto. Small room and pretty basic, but clean and staff were friendly.

The staff were great. The room was clean. The AC was working perfectly. The bathroom was nice and the water pressure was great. I didn't go to the restaurant/bar but it looked very nice and there was a jazz band playing while I was getting ready to head out for the evening.

The room was very convenient for my needs during the world cup tournament. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Jessie one of the hotel staff was very nice and helpful especially when myself and my mate were stressing out as our flights had been cancelled. We would definitely stay here again as the location is excellent for many of the tourist attractions, cafes and bars. Although we both had the rooms with out the shower we coped just fine.

It was a no frills cozy place to stay. Great beds and shower. Excellent area. Wish we had more time to explore. Super friendly staff . Easy check in and out. Next time will check out the restaurant and entertainment.

The rooms were nice and air conditioning was amazing during the heatwave! For the price the stay was splendid! Air conditioning was on point! The staff were so kind and helpful especially the cleaning staff!

I just stayed one night over the WC 2026 but because of the great price I will definetely be back when visiting Toronto.

Perfect location, wonderful for solo traveler

Convenient location and a great price. Thought there might be a microwave, even a little one, but wasn't expecting a lot of extras. I got a room with a private bath and shower, and they were spotless and everything was in good working form.

A basic hotel in a very convenient location. The jazz club downstairs was excellent. For most shows only a voluntary donation was suggested. The onsite restaurant had good food at a reasonable price.

I love the space and size for the location (in the city centre)

Friendly staff and easy check-in. Room and bathrooms were clean. Room was fairly warm even with the a/c running. Wish there was a box of tissues and facecloths in the room.

Whilst not a 5 star booking the reception and bar staff were super friendly and helpful. I booked 2 rooms over 3 nights both with bathrooms. Basic hotel , bathrooms clean and modern Beds comfy Working Tvs No tea and cofee facilities but the bar more than happy to provide a free tea or coffee. On 3rd night got offered complementary breakfast of tea , juice , toast and spreads. Not offered for first 2 nights not sure why ? Not a problem as plenty of places very nearby to grab a coffee and breakfast. Air con unit very dated large and noisy . Second room had no blinds or curtains so difficult to sleep. Wasnt expecting the ritz but the people and including jazz musicians were great. Bar looks a bit dark dingy but hey its renown for the music and acts and the bar staff light up the place
