Would be useful if their website indicated that the best way to access the property is off the road between Alijo and Pinhao. Relying on Google is liable to send you down steep, narrow and twisty cobbled tracks! The hotel has fantastic views of the Douro valleys and vineyards. Our room was comfortable and the food at breakfast and dinner was good. The hosts are very pleasant.

Bien sûr déguster les vins du domaine, dans le domaine, fait partie de la belle expérience. Cet endroit restera gravé dans nos souvenirs: merci !

The hotel is unique in its situation in the very picturesque wine country, and radiates a quiet restfulness. We truly felt like valued guests and and the hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The food was savory and the option to eat outdoors made for an excellent dining experience.

Such a charming and beautiful place. And the staff (owners?) are absolutely lovely and attentive to all the guests. Highly recommend.

Room was clean with beautiful views. Pool and property were nice and on-site restaurant was convenient. Bed was comfortable too. Rui was an excellent host!

An absolutely wonderful stay in a beautiful location. Our hosts were truly wonderful, very attentive and accommodating for our stay. Sitting at the pool, reading and spending time taking in the breathtaking views with a bottle of wine. We particularly enjoyed the tour and wine tasting session - the family are passionate about their wine!

Manager was incredible. Handled the registration; looked after my request to change rooms; served dinner - 5 course meal and back in the morning to serve breakfast!

This is probably my first hotel review. I felt I needed to get a review as a thank you to the exceptional service we received at this place. They could not have been more accommodating and nicer. The hotel location is a probably the best location I have ever been too; truly breathtaking. I strongly recommend it.

The Quinta was absolutely beautiful. The woman running the hotel was warm and personable. She answered all our questions and made sure we had everything we needed. Our stay was peaceful, the room and grounds were clean and very well cared for, perfect!

Our stay here was great. The owner and staff were friendly and very accommodating. Service was good, a little slow at times but understandable since they were short staffed. Buffet breakfast included and very good. Snacks and light meals available throughout the day which was nice since you are far from everything. A la carte dinner which we chose the first night but dinner is served at 8:30pm (which turned out to be closer to 9:30 because of lack of staff). Meal was very good but too late for us. It was nice to be able to choose from their daily menu for an earlier meal.

Gorgeous spot that overlooks the Douro Valley. We hiked both days and relaxed by the pool. The dinner at the hotel was excellent.
