Helpful staff. Small pool. Limited seats and food option at breakfast.

Greeting on arrival was pleasant and friendly. Room was very clean as was the lobby. Breakfast area was clean and there seemed to be a reasonable number of choices for the included breakfast. Room was very quiet and a great value.

It is a very good hotel in a good location. They are renovating some rooms but they need to spruce up the landscaping and pull weeds etc. Breakfast was very good lots of variety.

They are upgrading the rooms. Ours was comfortable clean and renovated. Nice breakfast the next morning...so comfortable we slept in.

I don't like writing reviews that aren't truly delightful, but sometimes reality is not as rosy as information online. We chose Stone Gate Inn because it wasn't a national chain and it had an 8.4 review average. We prefer to support small businesses. I don't know how long the current Stone Gate owners have had the property, and they're clearly working on it, but they really need to be transparent in how they market the facility in their online presence. Many rooms were under construction from 11 am to 3 pm each day. It's a good thing we were able to go out during those hours. There is no hot tub. It has been removed and they run the pool a little warmer than normal pool temperatures. Speaking of the pool, it's extraordinarily small, and the liner is both grimy and wrinkly. A family of two adults and 2-4 children would be the max for comfortably enjoying this pool at any one time, in my opinion. Our room was marketed as a suite. It was a standard hotel room with a gas fireplace and microwave. We couldn't prepare a simple meal, nor was there a defined seating area. Lastly, the complimentary breakfast was steam table scrambled eggs, an assortment of cereal, baked goods, oatmeal packets and fruit. If you're vegan or require gluten-free items, your options are extremely limited. Don't get me wrong, the price was very affordable, so if the marketing hadn't made me anticipate better amenities, I would have posted "exactly as described", but this was not exactly as described.

The place is showing is age but mostly clean. The pool and area needs a good cleaning, the tarp has some bad dirty spots

Very comfortable and convenient facility. Beds were comfortable. There is a bar but with limited service. Breakfasts were ample and food was fresh. One safety concern. The bathtub, which is quite new, but very slippery creating a fall risk, particularly for someone elderly. We went to a local dollar store and bought a mat.

We stayed at this property last year and really enjoyed it. It was clean and comfortable. This year, the hotel is currently under renovation. It looks tired and dated. The AC in our room wasn't working and did not get repaired, even though, we did tell staff twice. The hair dryer on the wall burnt out as I was using it, but staff was quick to replace it when I went to the desk to let them know.The breakfast was okay. Staff is pleasant and are trying their best to assist clients with their issues. I believe when the renovation is complete, it will be a great hotel again.

Reception was great. Room was nice and clean. TV was and lacking. Breakfast was ok. Could be nice if pool was open. Parking was ample. Overall, stay was great and would come back again

Reminded us of a Hampton Inn although not as good but was advised they are renovating to become one. Breakfast was ok but lacked protein; bacon etc
