Lovely stay at Gloria Palace royal, hopefully these words help: - taxi from the airport is around 70€ - breakfast is fantastic, plenty of cooked options and the freshly made omelette was a favourite of ours. - rooms are spacious and overlook the beach, but are starting to look a little dated. - maid comes everyday if you leave the sign on the door and brings 500ml of still and sparkling water. - there is no iron or ironing room…this was the biggest annoyance as we had to then pay for the ironing, so 7€ a dress and 5€ a shirt as example can soon add up. So either take your own iron or be prepared to pay. That said, the ironed clothes was returned in 24 hours (but could take 48)!! - hotel is spotlessly cleaned. - infinity pool is great and has a water dispenser, so take a refillable bottle, it helps! - pool towels are provided free of charge which is a good touch (but expected from a nice hotel) - no shop in the hotel, but a small spar shop is close, otherwise there are some limited vending machines placed around the hotel! - staff are friendly and helpful! - evening entertainment is ok, otherwise Puerto Rico is about 7€ in a taxi. Overall, would recommend but make sure you take an iron!!

Terrible. My husband ended up in hospital for 2 nights after eating in the A La Carte. He had prawns, the most likely cause of his acute, rapid onset violent symptoms of D and V with subsequent loss of conciouseness. They deny all and refuse any possible causitive link with his illness.

The room was fine and the best thing about the hotel. Big and clean with a good balcony including sea view. Staff very friendly and helpful. The food was Ok, nothing to write home about and meat occasionally sub-standard. Nice array of puddings. Public areas including lobby bar were boring with a very bland ambience. Pools clean and reasonably warm. Good and easy access to the beach

Really friendly staff in all areas, very clean, food was excellent (one vegetarian and one with a nut allergy) with pretty good allergen labels - we certainly never went hungry! Pools were a lovely temperature and very clean, room had everything we needed and a lovely view towards the beach. Location was perfect, not busy but everything we needed was close by. We never return to the same place twice but we may need to make an exception here...!

Great hotel, quite large hotel but with small hotel service.

A wonderful experience in Gran Canaria with this outstanding hotel – Gloria Royal Palace Hotel & Spa. Receptions are very nice and helpful. Breakfast Buffet with many different choices of food and drinks. I highly recommend the OMELETTE which is prepared on-site by the chef. Yummy!! Guests staying in the hotel would prefer the outdoor pool. Therefore, the hydromassage station is not crowded. Convenient location, it takes only 6 mins drive to Mogan Mall. Excellent hotel, not to be missed.

The location is great, right on Playa Amadores. The room was quite spacious, however, there were tiny bugs in the room and another larger, unidentified bug. Staff was helpful but not overly friendly like other places I've stayed. The restaurants were acceptable and plenty of food at the buffet. The pools were sizeable and the infinity pool overlooking the ocean makes for great pictures. Parking wasnt great, tiny spots on a very steep ramp. I can imagine it being very challenging for folks with mobility issues. Overall, satisfied and a memorable stay.

Best choice of breakfast I’ve had in a hotel. Lots of fresh fruit and juices. Sunbathing by the infinity pool was lovely and the children’s pool was next to it. Bingo and other activities in the afternoon round the pool. There is another quieter area to sunbathe if you want complete peace.

Lovely views from everywhere. Attractive and clean environment .Good beach and sea bathing - all strikingly clean. A wealth of bars and restaurants behind beach, with some decent shops too. Excellent hotel for couples with/without young children.A bit limited for older offspring.Some traffic noise from vehicles going to and from Puerto Mogan, but these are out of sight.

Staff, facilities and food were all excellent. The Hotel policy on removing towels from loungers at the pool before it opens is refreshing. Please continue this. Only problem encountered was the Private car transfer from Hotel to Airport. 30 mins late with no communication, we had to phone to see if it was coming. Thankfully Jet 2 checkin is so good with lots of friendly staff so we made the flight. Edinburgh luggage reclaim was awful and took an hour after landing, but that is not Expedia's fault!

This was our seventh visit to this hotel and always feels like coming home. A relaxed holiday in wonderful surroundings. I had emailed requesting a certain room, which we had, so that was very much appreciated. Our room was cleaned daily to a high standard. A recent renovation of the restaurant makes this a lovely place to eat and relax. Food is varied, do miss the morning coffee service but thats a personal view. Jordi, one of the managers is fantastic and attentive. It's lovely that he recognises us each year and will spend time with you. It is a shame that despite this being our seventh visit, it was not recognised at reception when checking in. The receptionist asked us if we had ever been before and was surprised that we had! It wont stop us visiting next year, but would make the checking in experience more personal. The amadores area is lovely, quiet at this time of year as expected but you can take a short walk to Puerto Rico for more bars and restaurants. A lovely break for us and have already booked our eighth visit in June next year.
