It was just dark, outdated and dingy.

The hotel staff are very kind. The hotel is nice and walkable to downtown spots. Our complaint is we were on a ground level room called Zuni and a family was staying above us. Every footstep of theirs resonated loudly in our room. They moved around from 9 pm to 5 am. We did not sleep well due to noise.

Pros - Bkfst was very good. Great location between the Railyard and the Plaza. Everything within walking distance. The decor of the room was southwestern, very nice. Alvin was the very kind desk attendant. Cons - The first room we went to had a very loud a/c unit and the layout didn't look like what we saw online. We were moved to a different room which was better but we were up all night due to the a/c unit noise. We ended up driving home before we stayed a 2nd night. Heads up there is a daily $30 parking/bkfst buffet fee. They advertised a restaurant/entertainment but we only saw tables in the bkfst area.

The room was ok, cold floors no carpet, bathroom extremely small with no shelf place for toiletries and makeup essentials. The resturant was closed for renovation, they did offer breakfast but we did not eat. Parking is for guest only 26 spaces for 21 rooms. All in all it wasnt a great place to stay but it provided shelter, a place close to downtown Santa Fe and the price was right.

Property was awesome- room was a little small but nice- the restaurant and bar were under construction which was disappointing, but the staff was great! In addition, it was pet friendly with a huge fee- and nowhere to walk your pet.

I couldn’t tell if this property is in the updating phase or becoming outdated. Somethings are wonderful, other things need help. Great location, good breakfast, attentive staff, daily maid service. However, our room had 2 bulbs out, window shutters and shades were janky, and after a hard rainstorm we had water dripping onto the bed. Thankfully they were able to get us into another room. The restaurant and live entertainment were not currently running with no sign that they would be anytime soon

This is a very nice Inn, but by no means a resort. It shows signs of neglect, especially in landscaping, no plants in the many pots. The security door to our hallway never locked. No paper or pens in the desk. Very flimsy towels. The breakfast was nice, but I was very disappointed the bar and restaurant were closed. Needs a lot of TLC.

Our room did not look like the pics. Has potential but needs a lift. Room described by the attendant as her favorite, was roadside and noisier, and puzzled by this comment. Great for the price point but as a frequent Santa Fe visitor, I would choose somewhere else.

The room was ok, but quite dark. Seveal of the light bulbs were burned out which didn't help. The breakfast was excellent.

I must start out, i have always thought that the Inn at Vanessie was a hidden trasure near the plaza; an incredible inn filled with comfort, romance, security, and privacy. This visit was by far in contrast to what i once loved about this place. The staff, i cannot stress enough, was amazing. It was the management that i drew concern. Im not sure if the man was the owner or the manager, but regardless of his title, he does not belong at the Vanessie. The Vanessie is under renovation. Totally fine. I walked into the former/current banquet room..now doubling as a guest check in space. I walked in, very confused. A tall young man helped me find my way around. The lovely young lady at desk 2 helped us out, checked us in and very clearly explained necessities, ice, check out times, all the need to knows for our stay. She then offered to walk us to our room. As we were being escorted, the once thought of guest, turned manager, interrupted our walk to give her 2 tubs of coffee and give her instructions. Yup! He did that. Again in the am, he was there, the staff incredible while he just sat there. No engagement. The breakfast busser was amazing! Dont know who he is ... because he never once engaged with a single guest!!! He does not belong there
