Keep in mind the Lodge is 101 year old all wood building. Excellent dinning room and a nice continental bk. Above all the staff is 5 star. Bruce, Dave, Donald, Michael & Aldo.. taking care of your needs.

Cozy, like stepping into a time warp. Shuttle to village lift was a bonus.

My boyfriend and I stayed here while on a ski trip to Mammoth. It was everything we needed! Room was on the smaller side but it was a perfect size for two people. We stayed in a room with shared bathrooms and never had to wait for the bathroom. Overall, the place was pretty clean and had everything we needed. Continental breakfast in the morning and shuttle from Mammoth Village directly to and from the lodge was super convenient. Staff was very kind!

The property really is beautiful and idyllic and so the hotel should be great, but its not. If you arrive at night, its pitch dark, not one light identifies the lodge or its entrance. It's not that the lodge rooms have shared bath, thats ok. it's that the shared baths are dumpy, old, and one is completely unheated and freezing. The doors to the rooms have 2 locks and require two hands to exit or enter, it just needs updating. Also the "continental breakfast is inferior to a Hampton Inn" which is puzzling.

The place is beautiful!

Great place with super friendly service. Only minor complaint is the hot water in the shower is unpredictable. Parking lot is a little icy but that’s to be expected with all the snow they received lately.

The property is a nice property in Mammoth. However, we stayed in the actual Lodge building and the lodge is very old and very noisy when people are walking up the stairs or in the hallway. It sounds like they’re walking right in your room.

We had to move cabins because our hot water heater was broken. The staff found us another cabin but did not offer to help us move our stuff. The second cabin was in poor repair. Counter stools that were too short for the bar. Everything was old and worn. When I used the stove I found that the burner was not assembled correctly so I had to fix it. Then the smoke detector went off because the stove has no ventilation. There was no hair dryer provided, which is a problem in Mammoth during winter. I don’t want to deal with house problems when I’m on vacation. Not worth the price.

Absolutely breathtaking views and peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast in the morning was a god sent and the staff were so very knowledgeable about the area. Would highly recommend this place to anyone I talk to.

I only stayed one night but it was wonderful to have such a cozy place to come back to after a long day of skiing. Would definitely come back again

Very quiet and a great spot to be in nature while still very short drive to the slopes.

THE UNIQUE VIEW, CROSS COUNTRY THE BEST. THE ACCESS TO THE SKI AND HIKING AREAS THE BEST IN THE AREA BEAUTIFUL LAKE.

If you want to go somewhere and stay in a tent, that's where you would go.

Amazing stay at Tamarack. The cabin was cozy, warm, and really quite wonderful. The service both in regards to cabin but also at the lodge, were excellent. So much attention to detail!

The nicest staff and the best cabin. Great location across from the lake and mountain, with a beautiful hike behind the property. 10/10 would stay here again

The cabin was a little worn out but very spacious, comfortable and with majestic views of the lake and mountain. Very comfortable for a family
