It wasn't the best.. Arrived to a cold room despite be phoning to say we would be late as caught a flight home rearlier. One packet of biscuits to share. Arrived to an empty plastic bag on the floor. Cobwebs in the coving which I absolutely hate. ,then it was noisy during the night.

On Arrival the staff member was quite rude, it was only because we had stayed with you many times we knew you had a bar where we could sit and wait for our room to be ready. The room it self seemed more like a family room than the executive we ordered. Couldn’t sit on the sofa and relax as the tv was in front of the bed and didn’t move. When we sat on the bed the headboard was flaking and you got pieces of leather fall off onto the pillows. The coffee machine leaked water all over the counter when we tried to use it. There was only one small bottle of water for two of us and one packet of biscuits for us to share. Having stayed with you many times it didn’t seem like an executive room as we have had much better rooms with you. The receptionist in the morning when we checked out was good and gave us a 20% discount which we appreciated. But at this time we don’t feel like we will stay again with you.

We had a disappointing experience during our two-night stay due to major operational and safety inconveniences. On our first night, the fire alarm went off at 3 AM (a false alarm). Shockingly, there was no immediate communication from staff. I was forced to call Reception off my mobile because the in-room phone lacked a number for the front desk. As I was traveling with my 9-month-old baby, this lapse in basic safety communication left me concerned about whether we needed to evacuate the room. Furthermore, our key cards were severely faulty and needed to be recharged twice a day, causing constant hassle and disruption right from check-in. This level of operational failure was truly annoying for such a short trip.

What can I say I arrived at the hotel around 930pm as I had a wedding to attend elsewhere on the following day. First impressions room was dirty the carpet let’s just say you didn’t want to walk on it bare foot. The curtains where stained the headboard was dirty and dusty the was cobwebs everywhere. The tv worked but you had to set the time and date everytime you left the room or you couldn’t use the guide as once you left the room all the electrics switched off. Once unpacked time to take a shower glad I bought my own toiletries very tight on these wouldn’t have been enough for 3 people and there was 3 of us. Looked up at the vent in the shower right above where you stand dirt and dust is an understatement. Finally we go to bed and was woken at 3am by the fire alarm this went on for 2-3 mins now this is fine it happens but what was unacceptable we didn’t know whether to stay put leave the room and no announcements where made. In addition reception wasn’t answering the phone. Asked to speak to a a manager in the morning no one was available until 1 we where a wedding so no one was available during our stay to address the concerns. Not to mention as the last thing don’t expect a warm breakfast all cooked food is stone cold before you have even sat down 2 mornings in a row both the same. Shame we stopped at this hotel for my sisters wedding 6 years ago was so impressed at the time standards are less than a 2 star hotel at best now.

Staff warm and welcoming. Bed comfortable although the bedside lamps didn’t work and wouldn’t be fixed until we had left. Reception, when we called, seemed to be under the impression our room (53) had a thing for the room card to go in to operate - not the case. Bathroom is tired and could do with a make over - the shower head would unscrew from the fitting when trying to change the water pattern.

The reception staff were great and we couldn’t fault them but we were really dissatisfied with the lack of care that we experienced. When we arrived there was only one towel in the room despite there being 2 of us on the booking, there was pen scribbled on the head board and there was two pillows on the bed without pillow cases, it just seemed a little unwelcoming. Not taking away from the reception staff as they were kind and friendly but wouldn’t go back purely for the reasons I’ve previously stated. I hate to write a negative review but I really was disappointed in our stay after looking forward to it
