This is the first hotel review I have ever written because I have never been as disappointed as I was with Hotel Villa Mayor Charme Fortaleza. The information and photos available online do not accurately represent the property we experienced. The rooms were extremely dated, with worn-out furniture of very poor quality. The cleanliness was unacceptable. There were stains on the walls throughout the rooms, and the overall condition made the hotel feel neglected. I am allergic to mold and dust, and within minutes of entering the room my eyes began to itch. We had booked two rooms, and the second room also had visible mold and stains on the walls. It was immediately clear that this was not an isolated issue. We specifically chose this hotel over a larger hotel chain because the photos and descriptions suggested a charming boutique property. Unfortunately, the reality was completely different. We had booked a 14-night stay but were unable to spend even a single night there. The hotel showed us other available rooms, but they were in essentially the same condition. We were told that some rooms are being renovated, but despite the significant difference in quality, we were not offered one of the upgraded rooms. We had no choice but to leave and find another hotel. We are now requesting a full refund because the accommodations we were provided did not match the quality, condition, or expectations created by the hotel’s online listing. Excellent pool, nice breakfast, fabulous staff!

Cute architecture, very close to the beach.The room was ok (very small), the AC did not cool appropriately, for 3/6 days there was NO hot water, the bathroom had a weird/bad smell. The majority of the staff were amazing (maintenance guy told me to just lower the temp instead of fixing AC) and breakfast lady (assistant manager maybe) was very rude to us - and, when feedback was provided she stated “you can’t please everyone.”

no nos gusto la habitación para 4 personas donde nos alojamos, casi nula luz, no se ve el exterior, baño minusculo, antiguo y con muchos detalles que se pueden mejorar. la habitación daba al terreno de al lado que no se que habia pero siempre habia gente haciendo ruido.

Very beautiful, helpful, respectful staff who spoke english very well. They catered to my every need and had very good recommendations for sites and dining in the area.

Awesome! Staff bends over backwards! I stayed in 3 rooms...all were excellent. Breakfast buffet for hours!! Toilet seats need reolacing in all 3 units. Otherworldly 6 out of 5! And the front desk is amazing!!

The check in took long. My VIP booking was not ack by staff. We got a standard room far away. We had to change room as the initial smelled horribly.breakfast was same every day. Worst part is no Expedia acknowledgement

The hotel is located near the Beira Mar in Fortaleza, safe area with plenty options of places to eat. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean just the pool needed an extra attention.

Like I said in the email I send a couple of days ago, it was a bad experience in the Villa Mayor. They charged me for an extra person and said the reservation was only for 3 people and 3 beds. This is not right because the email you send me stated that my room was for 4 people and 4 single beds and I showed them the paperwork, they didn't care.

Ficamos encantados com o Vila Mayo! O quarto limpo e perfumado garante uma estadia muito confortável. A piscina e toda a estrutura do hotel são lindas, com ótima ambientação e localização excelente, perto de tudo em Fortaleza. O café da manhã é excelente, muito variado e cheio de ótimas opções. O grande destaque é a maravilhosa equipe de funcionários: Jean e Daniel na cozinha, Arlindo, Felipe, João Paulo, Suerda, Ana Lúcia, João e os rapazes da recepção foram perfeitos em cortesia, gentileza e presteza.
