Grand Hotel Pupp is visually stunning and iconic, but the experience was mixed. The hotel is enormous and spread across multiple buildings, which impacts room expectations. We stayed in the older wing but had a modern corner room with a great view—comfortable, though not the historic style we anticipated. Breakfast was excellent and the highlight of the stay. The spa was very busy; my Swedish massage was wonderful, but the facial felt confusing, with limited explanation of products or treatment steps. When I asked to take a photo of the treatment overview, I was told not to and to simply memorize it, which felt unnecessary. Dining service was inconsistent. At the Grand Café, we were rushed throughout a short visit, including having dessert cleared prematurely. At the main restaurant, despite a confirmed window-table reservation, we were initially seated in a corner and asked to stand awkwardly while staff checked with management. Several tables remained empty despite claims of being fully booked. The food was underwhelming for a five-star hotel. Despite the hotel’s James Bond branding, no venue—including the casino or speakeasy—could make a classic martini; the closest option was vodka with ice and lemon. The only well-made classic cocktail we had was a Manhattan at the pub. There was also a persistent sewage odor in common areas during our stay, without acknowledgment from the hotel. Architecturally grand, but service and communication fall short of five-star expectation

Just been here for 2 nights, lovely frontage of this Grand Hotel but inside wasva bit disappointing. There was an old musty damp smell in the lobby and other parts of the hotel. The spar was terrible! Its was so full you couldnt get anywhere to hang robes or leave slippers, the fountains weren't working, some parts were only for 2 persons! A small spa for a massive hotel was disgusting. Needs attendants checking areas or limited use time so its more pleasant and healthy. We wouldnt stay again, not worth the money.

Everything at the Grand Popp hotel, with the exception of electrical outlets in the hotel room. Had 2 outlets but, neither was close to bed. No CPAP x 3 nights

Staying at the Hotel Pupp was a wonderful experience!

This was the second time we stayed here and again, it was great. The facility and breakfast were excellent and the staff were friendly. This was the first time visiting Becher's Bar where the only issue occurred. The lady would not let me charge our bill to our room. She wanted to see the card with our room number written. I assumed it was the card that held our room keys that was given after we checked in. I showed our room key and told her our room number, but that was not sufficient. I was able charge everything else to our room without issue or being asked to see that "card". Regardless, the place is still one of our favorites and will return in the future ..... maybe not to Becher's Bar though.

This is an incredible hotel; the best I've ever stayed in. This was our second time - we loved it so much the first time that we flew back to CZ just to stay again. The food, the drinks, the spa are all excellent.

Beautiful hotel and is located very central in Karlovyvary. Everything is walkable nearby— shops, cafes, restaurants, etc.

What can you say? It’s a once in a lifetime experience and was excellent throughout! A few tips: - Spend the few extra dollars to stay in the “Riverside” section; it is worthwhile. - the spa is great, but be mindful that it does not have a geothermal pool - just a regular pool and a mix of saunas/steamrooms. Overall, magical and magnificent!

It was ok but not a 5-stars stay. I hoped the staff would be friendlier and more helpful or welcoming. They should take lessons in hospitality.

Property is well maintained, rooms are large and clean, good location. Staff was ok on check-in, so so on checkout - so service depends on the attending person. Spa services - average, nothing special.
