Property is dated but very quaint. Location was great for a day drive along the wild atlantic coast and Donegal. No self laundry options but same day laundry service is avaliable.

Enjoyed its slightly faded grandeur. Pity the restaurant is not functioning now, except for breakfast.

A true experience at a traditional bed and breakfast. The property was beautiful and really was enjoyable.

This is a super cute bed and breakfast. We stayed in the outer building in a family room. It was absolutely beautiful with a little balcony overlooking the cutest little garden. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. My only complaints were the Wi-Fi did not work great in the outer building and there was zero pressure in the shower head but we just took a bath instead and that was great.

Gorgeous stay. John is very keen and gave us useful details for our trip. His bar is beautiful and I recommend the goats tart with salad

John and his staff were excellent. We got just a wee bit of the story of how he’d been the owner for the past four decades. The place is charming to the hilt. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff fun and engaging as well. The area out front of the manor house is gorgeous. You are in the heart of the Irish countryside with sheep bleating in the distance. The drive from the road up to the house is charming too. A few cobwebs here and there and some big spiders are natural in a place that was built as long ago, and the gardens- while beautiful- are being seen about a bit slowly. That said, we absolutely loved our stay and greatly appreciated the hospitality. I don’t think it could be beat, and I’d highly recommend staying here. Great for couples and small families.

Great staff great facility very quiet

Woodhill House is a truly lu unique experience! This period property is full of charm, with a warm, homey feeling. John and his staff are excellent hosts - warm, friendly and helpful.

A wonderful stay at a historic country house. It was appropriately decorated for it's period. Very attentive and welcoming staff, from it's owner, John, to the bartender and waitstaff at breakfast.

Great time at Woodhill. Loved staying somewhere with genuine charm and not a bkand corporate hotel.

Overall everything was acceptable except for the so called restaurant Choice of menu was limited & the prices were much too high: small chicken pie, lettuce leaves & 3 slices of tomato 22 euro: 4 small pieces of wheaten bread,3.50 euro & worst of all a cup of hot water 3.50 euro! Breakfast was good & the staff were lovely The decor was rather dated but probably in keeping with the age of the property

We loved this little place. Beautiful setting just a short walk/drive to Ardara and a great starting point for exploring Donegal. Breakfast was great and the rooms were huge. We wouldnt hesitate to stay again!

Feels like this used to be a very nice establishment but it has somehow had the stuffing knocked out of it. Felt a bit sad there, really. Property probably very nice in years gone by but badly faded. Decor old style, with no updating. Everything very tired. Check in quite odd - sort of a hello, shown to room, that was about it. Cleanliness underwhelming. Staff undertrained or just not that good. Atmosphere - none really, including in bar. Breakfast very good although service completely haphazard and amusing in a sad sort of way. Shower good and powerful (room 1)

What a great place! We had the best time and the staff were lovely!

Absolutely wonderful stay off the beaten path and in a beautiful setting - wish we could have stayed more than one evening. It's an excellent area from which to explore the cliffs, Malin Beg, etc. We particularly enjoyed spending time in the evening with John, our host, and other guests in the bar.
