Reception is closed from 11am to 4pm at the height of the season. That's really inconvenient. The ski shuttle doesn't operate at weekends and not on the 1st friday of the month so for 3 days of our 7 day trip we didn't have use of the ski shuttle which is a pain with small children There is an inspection of the apartment before checkout so you need to factor that in if checking out early. The resort is nice for a beginner ski family but Le Ruitor needs to improve for the price that it is pitched at, although we were staying over new year so paying top end but not getting top end service.

Le Ruitor is a great place to stay in Sainte Foy, very comfortable, handy for the slopes (free shuttle bus in the mornings runs at less than 10 minute intervals). The staff at reception couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and the bakery goods ordering was really handy. You pay extra for the underground parking but we thought it was worth it in uncertain weather conditions. Our only criticisms were that the kitchenette was a little basic - combined microwave and grill but no oven, limited utensils; the wifi was very patchy (off and on at regular intervals, probably due to the number of people logging on); and that the advertised DVD player was only available from reception from day 3 of our visit (and came without a remote control) - apparently there are only 3 in the building. Overall though, our holiday was excellent value for money and we have to say that everyone in Sainte Foy seems to be cheerful and helpful.

Stayed here for four days before Christmas 2015. Reasonable cost, good facilities and great staff. Five minutes' walk to ski lifts and schools. Close to restaurants and bars. Very recommended.

Not too big, not too small, with a great pool and morning croissant service at your door. Kids can wander around town on their own. Exceedingly lovely staff. Small station, but great for week with kids up to 13

Apartment in the French Alps that easily sleeps 4. The residence staff were very accommodating and happy to assist in all queries and organizing taxis, etc. Apartments were well supplied and the residence was spotless. Ski room with heated boots racks, etc. Small resort but great skiing. Would definitely recommend.

Overall this was a nice place to stay with my family, easy access to the few shops and restaurants in Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise. Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise is only small but perfect for a few days of skiing and chilling. The hotel has a nice pool and bar which all the family can use. Sainte Foy is perfect or need 2 bedrooms.

...along with 3 other families. We won't go elsewhere as Le Ruitor always offers superb accommodation for such a reasonable price. The spa facilities and pool are wonderful. Bus to the slopes and ski/board back to the door. What more could you want! We will be back 2016.

Everything about the hotel is first rate with a couple of caveats. If you book here, be aware of the hours reception is open(check website), tho', the are instructions for after-hours arrials. Do not rely on GPS for directions unless you enter co-ordinates which i think are Latitude 45º 34' 51.9168'' Longitude 6º 53' 41.6862'' but worth checking. Also, book parking spot at same time as reservation. Skiing is great, but best to avoid the week following christmas as line-ups get lengthy then. The units are sufficiently spacious with fully equipped kitchen. Odd bathroom configuration with 2 rooms having shower and sink and one separate room with toilet only. There are more electrical outlets than one could use, but be sure to bring adapters. Again, great place.

Great location, close enough to walk to the ski lifts and a shuttle bus is also on hand. Staffs were great, very friendly and there are plenty of facilities in the hotel (such as a pool). The apartment was clean, spacious and contained everything one would need to have a comfortable stay. Would suggest you stock up on food in Bourg-Saint-Maurice before heading up to Sainte-Foy Tarentaise (better selection and better prices). I would stay again here!

The hotel has a great location, the rooms were very clean and also the halls. In addition, the kitchen in the room was very well equipped with kitchen tools. We actually opted to eat in the room because it was so nice. A couple of nuissances, however: the reception and the indoor pool both close at 8 pm. Why? It is a 4 star hotel, so both should be open until at least 10 pm. We arrived at 7:45 pm and looked forward to a swim in the pool. The handout we got at the reception said it closed at 11 pm. Alas, the handout was wrong. It should had said 11 am in the morning!! In addition, we did not get the code for the wifi in the room. When I returned 20 minutes later to get it, the reception was closed. Why not give the wifi code on arrival? Almost everyone needs it anyway. Breakfast could be ordered the day before until 7 pm even though the reception closes at 8 pm. Therefore we could not order breakfast the first night on arrival. Why not be flexible and send the order even though it was 7:45 pm. Very inflexible service. In short: Great hotel, but inflexible service.

A really wonderful hotel with fantastic views. Our only gripe was that it was a 5 minute walk up a hill to the ski slopes and with 2 young children we had to use the car to carry all the equipment the short distance every day. Also, the website advertised a hairdryer and dvd player in the apartment. We had to request the loan of a hairdryer from reception since it was not in the apartment and to use the advertised dvd player we had to collect one from reception and pay 8 euros to hire it. This was not made clear on the website prior to our stay. However, the rooms were a good size, facilities were excellent and rooms furnished to a great standard. Beds comfy too. Would stay there again if it was a little closer to the slopes.

We stayed here during the winter season and compared to the chalets which cost a bomb this place is perfect, as it is affordable on-snow accomodation. It is close to the slopes (within walking distance) but there is a van shuttle to take you up 200m if you want to be lazy. I bet alot of the chalets dont have massive swimming pool, sauna, steam room and bar (limited opening hours for all the above, 8pm max). There is a laundry room which is handy but cycles are long. Kitchen is also good as it saves on meals out, and a dishwasher because doing the dishes is rubbish. (Try to buy groceries in Bourg Saint Maurice prior, heaps cheaper than supermarket up top, Lido offers good value except for cheap case of 25 Finkbrau beers- this results in a hangover before you've finished drinking it.) Getting sidetracked here, Residence Eco Le Ruitor is great, it's not their fault its so hard to get up to Sainte-Foy Station from Bourg St Maurice without your own car) I recommend contacting them prior so they can advise on booking the free Sainte-Foy shuttle bus or getting a taxi (around 60 euro for a big van). Enjoy the powder up there... or whatever you other freaks do in Summer.
