I booked this hotel after seeing a big discount, after I booked, should of been a red flag, one of my employees mentioned they stayed there and had a horrible experience with it being run down and then being blamed for all the previous damages. So within 30 minutes of booking I immediately tried to cancel, I did choose non cancelable rooms but tried anyways since it was within 30 minutes, and was denied. Which is within their rights. So I let my employees know to take pictures and hope for the best. Once they got there I was sent tons of photos, of visible stains on carpets, bedsheets, scratches to bed, damage to drywall, half ripped base, torn carpets, grease on walls. I then called the front desk to be asked to change rooms. The staff were quick to help us change rooms.
The real change that needs to be made is corporate needs to spend money on renovating and upkeeping the property. Otherwise more guests are going to keep complaining and the staff will be helpless to do anything.
