Apart from having noisy neighbours I enjoyed my stay.

Just back from a 10 day stay at the Crystal Beach hotel in Fuerteventura, the room was spacious and very clean, the pool area is lovely and plenty of sun loungers, there is also a beach area and beach bar which are both good. The beach is right on the hotel and is lovely and the sea warm. The food was varied and good but could have been warmer at times. Lunch in a separate restaurant was lovely and always hot. The reception staff, maids and restaurant staff were all lovely and helpful. The main area of the hotel was nice but very hot during the day with no air conditioning. The outside seating area at the front of the hotel is lovely. The hotel is in a good location but Costa Calma is a very quiet resort. I would recommend the hotel as good value in a lovely beach location. I was asked to sit at a table with other guests for dinner who didn’t speak my language and that made any conversation difficult, it would be better if same language guests sat together at dinner. I really enjoyed my stay and would return again.

PROS: Cleanliness of the room and great staff. The beach is lovely. Nice size balcony with partial view of the ocean. CONS: The food was terrible, not even my cat would have eaten it in some occasions.The restaurant started clearing at least 15-20 before time. We were only a few tourists, but if the buffet is promised until 9pm, I expect the full service to be active until 9pm not 8.40. Please be aware that the area is populated mainly by German tourists, so the atmosphere is not Spanish at the least. The area is also very calm with a 20 mins walk to the first passable bar of which there are possibly 3 in total. Lovely nature and coastline though.

Reception felt like being in a funeral parlour, and check in was possibly the world's slowest, but otherwise the stay went ok.

This is a lovely hotel close to a very pleasant beach. There is only limited parking but you can also park at the sister hotel next door. I recommend hiring a car as there is very little to do in the immediate vicinity but lots to see on the island. The lobby/lounge area is very bright and spacious with comfortable chairs and sofas. The rooms are large and have lots of storage space. The beds are comfortable and the furniture modern. Remember to bring your own tea and coffee to avoid being charged. The fridge is handy for milk and cold water. We stayed half board and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the meals. There was ample choice for anyone and each dish was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful and the evening entertainment was enjoyable. The lifts do not go all the way down to the beach level and take a bit of finding but there is a steep path at the side of the hotel that you can take if you want to avoid the steps. The ocean view rooms are at the side of the hotel and look out across the next door hotel to the sea. The balconies are big and private. Being an adults only hotel makes the atmosphere more peaceful and relaxing.

The bar staff and one of the reception staff were all really nice. Unfortunately, this was spoiled by the Receptionist when we checked out. The Reception was busy when we came down to checkout so we decided to put our bags in our car (which was parked right outside the hotel) and then go straight back in to check out. We had just go to our car when the Receptionist came charging out of the Hotel shouting we needed to check out and that if we had a bill then she would need to pay for it. There were a number of people standing outside the hotel waiting to be collected by their coach and this was incredibly embarrassing. We had not intention of leaving without paying and feel her attitude was completely unplaced and rude. She did not even apologise. In general the hotel was ok but she gave a bad leaving message.

I've stayed in just about every hotel in Costa Calma at this point, and this is my favorite for the price. (Two others are a little better, but twice the price). I plan on staying here whenever I come to Costa Calma in the future. The only criticism I have is that in this day and age (2019), hotels should offer free WiFi since it is essential for travel, and 5 Euros a day is a bit ridiculous, especially when it is not even accessible in your room.

The hotel is a bit outdated but a great location on the beach. The staff is very nice and pleasant! A cleaning lady did different figures from the towels - really amazing! The food was great - good variety and tasty! Very quiet place and I would recommend it!

Great hotel for a relaxing holiday and enjoy the large beautiful beach.

Very well located in Costa Calma. Nice staff, good food, interesting nightly entertainment, beautiful terrace overlooking the beach.

I met a very friendly and nice staff and I make so many friends from different nationalities. Perfect location, great room, beautiful beach and great views all around and near hotel 😂

Last min stay to this hotel for only 3 nights and was pleasantly surprised! Situated on the beach, it’s a great base for a relaxing stay! Hotel is immaculate and the main thing about the hotel is the positive and helpful staff. Literally any question you have will be answered to the best of their ability with a massive smile on their face. The staff are used to returning guests and you can see the friendships that have developed. As a former holiday rep, I have worked in hotels and can honestly say I was left really impressed by the staff and their helpful attitude in all areas of hotel. Special shoutout to Mario on animation, who roped me into doing French bowls in the beach (turns out I’m a boss at it) also I can recommend yoga on the rooftop in the morning. Really sets you up for the day! Another shoutout to the bar staff who work in the evening as they are absolute superstars! Although I travelled solo I never felt alone! Hope to return one day!

Par 4* hotel. Lovely location. Lovely coastline. Food fairly good. Hot water disappeared for a couple of nights but not a huge problem in that lovely weather. Watch out for the quite steep bolted on internet charges as these are not in the room rate and are quite high even on fully inclusive. Same goes for the in-room safe charge. Extras like these can amount to an extra night charge, but not a deal breaker if you have a good deal to start with. Or use the free internet in all the restaurants when necessary. Nice and quiet, and friendly staff.

i honestly wish that i had just stayed the 2 nights instead of extending to 3. it took over 10 minutes to book another night at reception. quite embarressing really. i was told that i had to arrange it with my tour operator then with jet2 . i was a private paying customer. monica seemed to take an age to understand what that was. i decided to go to the pool area and read my book. there is a section that says reserved area.. but underneath its says reserved for adults only.. so i sat on one of the loungers. after an hour i was removed from the area by a member of staff and security. SECURITY!! never been treated like that in my life at a hotel. 4 stars reduced to 1 star. honestly do wish that i had simply moved elsewhere. some of the staff seem to want to undermine the good work of the others.. its 2pm and im already counting down the time until i can leave tomorrow morning.

Stayed at the Crystal Beach in March 2017. The hotel is very clean and the staff are friendly with a good command of English. We had a great view from our balcony and access to the long sandy beach was easy via steps and/or lift. The pool was a little small but big enough for the non-serious swimmers.

Enjoyable, social, relaxing quiet hotel and resort.

Wir sind bereits zum dritten Mal in diesem Hotel und fahren bestimmt wieder. Ausblick von Terrasse oder Balkon unvergleichbar! Ruhig Gegend, zum Erholen sehr geeignet. Strand einfach sehr gut! Kann nur empfehlen!

Hôtel avec accueil agréable. Service sympathique. Chambre propre et agréable. Un gros bémol pour le petit déjeuner-buffet : beaucoup de variété proposée, mais dont la "matière première" était de qualité très moyenne, voir basse (i.e. jus de fruit, charcuterie, fromage, yaourt, glace). Avons était également surpris par la note du minibar : les sachets de café lyophilisés mis à disposition chaque matin dans la chambre sont décomptés et facturés plus de 1 euros pièce....
