I wasn’t sure what to expect when booking Vale da Lapa Village, but it completely blew me away. The property is stunning, the villa was spacious and comfortable, and the service was warm and welcoming. Andre checked us in and provided all the details we needed to enjoy our stay. We booked the half-board option, not realizing it included both breakfast and dinner—what an amazing surprise! The food was delicious, and while service at the restaurant was on the slower side (possibly cultural differences), the staff was always friendly. We stayed in a 2-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom villa, and it was perfect for our family of four—plenty of room to spread out. I only wish we had more time to relax and enjoy the property itself. The grounds were beautifully maintained, though I’d love to see some additional pathways through the center of the resort to make getting around easier. The beds were quite firm, which didn’t bother me but might not be for everyone. On our last day, we noticed a few ants around the kitchen sink—possibly due to pouring soda down the drain—but overall, the villa was very clean and well-kept. The metal shutters on all windows and patio doors were unexpected but seemed to help with security, light, and sound. A car or Uber is definitely needed to get around, but the peaceful setting made it all worth it. Out of the three places we stayed during our trip, this was hands-down the favorite for our whole family.

Beautiful duplex properties which are soundproofed and plenty of space. Kept spotlessly clean - loved it!

As many have commented the resort has a unique combination of feature’s flexibility and staff. You can eat in or order a Bolt or Uber and go into one of the nearby villages to eat. If you eat in always try the chefs special of the day - in 2 weeks we were never disappointed. The staff at all levels are friendly courteous and speak good English. The villas are as beautiful as portrayed and we had one that looked onto a garden teeming with song birds! We found the location to be perfect - not more than a 10 euro cab fare to the local villages.

Perfect place for a family stay - the pictures don’t do the villas justice, they are amazing! We had an incredible first getaway with our baby, the pool area is great, the restaurant is lovely & the villa was perfect! Will definitely be returning!!

The accomodation was clean and spacious. Great value!

It much nearby but the hotel offers restaurant if you want. If you want to eat out, you’ll have to drive. I will stay there again.

Wonderful place, great location and lots to do. Especially loved the heated pool, jacuzzi and sauna.

Good place to stay

Loved our short trip to this wonderful place. I had a massage, joined an aerial yoga class and the kids had a ball in the swimming pools. The staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place.

Lovely resort with amazing staff! All so warm and friendly. The facilities are fantastic also! We stayed in a 3 bed villa which was beautiful and clean, the cleaning in particular was a high standard, cleaners were in everyday and the villa was always spotless. We were well looked after by the staff and due to this reason we will be back! My only feedback is that the food can be a little repetitive if you are staying for a while. We ordered in or went out some nights to Portimao which was lovely! But would be a good shout if the menu had a little more choice/options at lunch and dinner. Apart from that everything else was fab. Had a wonderful time. Thank you all at Vale de Lapa we will see you soon!

Nice resort for long stays, but not a beach vibe or ocean view.

There was nothing to dislike! This is my third visit and Vale da Lapa did not disappoint. The villa was large and very well appointed . In particular the reception staff were always very helpful, pleasant and informative.

We had an amazing time and stay at Vale de Lapa. From the moment we walked in, the staff (in particular Joel) were brilliant. Gave us a thorough intro to the complex and facilities and surrounding activities, but we were never sold to or felt overly pressured to buy anything. All the staff were more than helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. For a place slightly out of Carvoeiro, it is a great place to unwind and relax. On site restaurant was great for us, we ate there a couple of times and had breakfast there every day. Lovely selection of fresh fruit and pastries and variety of cooked food. It has easy links to other towns and so for us this was perfect. My only comment would be that the 9 hole crazy golf is an area of Astro, probably best to remove that from the site as an added extra. It also did have a little play area for our little one which was great at keeping him busy from time to time.

The villa was amazing. Not often a resort is exactly as shown in the photos but this was. The accommodation was spacious, spotless and had everything in it we needed for our stay, probably better equipped that my own home. Had a large balcony as well as a patio which was lovely. The resort on the whole was quiet, safe and had great amenities - free bike hire was a bonus! We were self catering but did try the restaurant/bar and the food was great.

Fantastic resort, we had a 2 bed apartment that was spacious, clean and comfortable. Nice swimming pool with plenty of seating and umbrellas for shade. Staff extremely helpful. Just the most wonderful of venues.

Fantastic property, conveniently located in the heart of the Gold Coast of Portugal - just a short drive both to Benagil cave area and to rocks of Lagos. Highly recommended!

Staff are lovely, spotlessly clean, quiet and relaxing. Can’t fault anything!
