Can't comment on the rooms as we were gifted a voucher for cream tea and tour. Can only say it was like Faulty Towers. Arrived at 1230 as arranged for cream tea to be greeted hurriedly by a rude woman who went on about a conference that was going on, and who wasn't really interested in our well being. Eventually found a very hot sunroom where we were given dry scones and just enough cream and jam. We eventually found out that the tour was not for another 2 hours. We wandered around the somewhat tatty neglected gardens then decided to leave. Pretty setting, but wouldn't recommend.

We had a delightful 2 night stay at Bickleigh Castle, thanks to the warm and accommodating hospitality of Sarah. She truly made our visit memorable. The grounds were beautiful, and our room, number 10, was spacious and lovely. We were even invited to help ourselves to some apples from the trees before we departed. We will definitely be returning. Thank you, Bickleigh Castle!

We visited on a Thursday for the open day of the Castle and booked on the tour, you can self guide from midday, it was fabulous, there is a wealth of history here it is an absolute gem and a must visit place if you are in the area, lots of afternoon teas being taken

Amazing overall I loved it so much I recommend going only think that needs to change is that gardens need to be fixed up a bit and food

A really beautiful and historic place to stay in the midst of a gorgeous area. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was good, and we received a very warm welcome. More like being a guest in a wonderful house than staying at a hotel.
