The Angel was the perfect place to stay for our visit to Guildford. Close to everything, a short walk to anywhere we wanted to go. The hotel itself is absolutely charming. Our room was very nicely appointed with a comfortable bed and separate sitting area, and unlimited restocking of coffee, tea and waters. The staff was a pleasure to deal with, always eager to assist. We would definitely stay again and we strongly recommend it to all!

Very different from the usual fare, being old and quaint. However, we had no complaints with the standard of the room, being larger than usual, or with the service.

The floor in our bedroom creaks alarmingly when walked on. My concern was not for safety, as I am quite sure it is safe, but I felt extremely embarrassed about the noise being heard downstairs! When unpacking and repacking I needed to keep going in and out of the bed area and around and around the. Ed many times and the noise it makes is horrendous. I appreciate that this is not a modern build (God forbid because that would probably be worse) but the problem is excessive and not something I would expect at the prices charged.

Easy check in, spacious rooms with tv in bedroom and lounge, lovely large bathroom with deep bath and walk in shower. Great location however, be mindful that the road is closed as a pedestrian walkway from 0900 but this isn’t a problem as there are parking facilities close by and for me as a blue badge holder there were plenty of spaces close enough. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Rooms was great, but the shower plug was blocked which caused some limited flooding which I cleaned up.

Yes to both your questions, though from your advertising I assumed a breakfast of some kind was provided. You are needing to making it clear there are not any eating facilities within the hotel itelf.

Room was large. Bathroom: shower and tub needed anti-slip mats and grab bars - quite tricky and slippery sometimes. Shower stall needed shelves for soaps, shampoo and face cloths. There are no facilities in the hotel but restaurants are nearby. No bar. Hotel internal geography is challenging given it's a 15th century property. High Street location is central but sometimes the road is closed to traffic which prevents car drop-off at the hotel door. High Street is hilly so dragging bags uphill from the drop off was a really PE exercise!

Room was spacious, clean and with additional facilities if needed, such as fan, heater, ironing board and iron. The staff member at reception was really warm, friendly and helpful.

Fabulous building of great character. Run a td Basil Fawlty. No one on reception just a phone number and the lady tips up pronto. Room right at the back, very quiet. Cold bathroom as no heating in there. Otherwise great room and nice extras. Big bonus having Bill's downstairs and epic central location.

The hotel itself does not have a restaurant but there is an attached , easily accessible eatery. The hotel is in the town centre with easily accessible shops, bars, coffee shops etc. The rooms are full of charm/character and are a good size. The staff are unfailingly helpful and friendly.
